    Mall Shooting California, Two Dead.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Police are looking for a gunman who shot and killed two teens at a Northern California mall in the midst of Black Friday, sending shoppers running for safety, authorities said.
Arden Fair Mall in Sacramento was evacuated shortly after 6 p.m. when shots were fired near one of the mall's entrances, police spokesman Karl Chan said.
A 19-year-old man was found dead at the mall and a 17-year-old boy was found critically wounded at a bank outside of the mall. He was taken to the hospital and succumbed to his injuries several hours later,

Wonder if it was gang-related or just some thugs who don't care about the innocent people who might get hurt while they try to act like they think men should act.
Reminds me of the two incidents earlier this month when people got shot outside of Vegas casinos after fights broke out, the shooting at a crowded haunted house Halloween attraction in North Carolina that occurred after a fight broke out, and the - this one is kind of funny in a way - funeral service that was interrupted by a two-car drive by attack that caused numerous participants in the funeral service to return fire, with the police reporting that they recovered more than 70 shell casings from rounds fired by the mourners.

I'm guessing it was just base thuggery without a gang connection.

Seems the two dead were brothers - their aunt is asking the public to speak up about what they saw:

Jim, I wonder if the two that were shot were the targets, if it was a rampage shooting there would have been more killed, so wonder if the shooter followed the two to the mall, I agree I wonder if it were gang related. I don't think the shooter has been caught yet.

I think they were targeted. As to why it could be anything, gang related, drug burn, someone with a score to settle.
Today you could be standing next to someone who is trying their best not to fall apart. So whatever you do today, do it with kindness.

Yeah - it could be anything, and I haven't heard anything about the shooter being caught or ID'd.
I'm going to take a wild guess and speculate that there was some kind of verbal or physical altercation between one or both of the brothers and the shooter.
It maybe came down to some kind of respect or ego thing.
Used to be that young guys could have some words, throw a few punches and then just let it go.

    Sort of as anticipated:

An 18-year-old has been arrested in connection with the Arden Fair Mall shooting on Black Friday that left two teenage brothers dead.

Sacramento police identified the alleged shooter as Damario Beck. "Based on the preliminary investigation, the shooting resulted from a verbal altercation between two groups of people that were known to each other from prior interactions," Sacramento police said on Twitter.

    Yep.
And we did that with knives in our pockets or on our belts, and rifles and shotguns in our vehicles in the parking lot.
    At school.

The way the cops worded that still makes me wonder about a gang connection - "two groups of people that were known to each other..."

Most likely Jim, gang connection, I grew up in a small town and remember seeing highschool boys driving pickups with shotguns, never was worried someone was going to go out to their truck and get said gun and come in and blow us away, or go shoot someone they got into a fight with, seems like the world has gone crazy...I roll my eyes at people blaming music and video games on gun violence, if that were the case I would have been a school shooter then, as I play a lot of violent video games and listen to Rammestein, I blame society in the fact that every kid gets an award, you can't spank your kid now because it's considered beating them, no there is a difference, spanking on the butt five times is not beating them, beating is using fists, hangers, whatever to leave bruises or put the kid in a hospital, I blame the parents for wanting to be their child's buddy and friend instead of parenting, letting said kids get away with anything, handing them everything, not allowing them to face the consequences of their actions. If I stepped out of line at school, I got in trouble at school and then again when I got home, if I misbehaved around mom, not only did she settle me down but then she would let dad know and dad would give me a talking to as well as grounding me.
