A bit of a heat wave here again, so cold Tuscan chicken and a garden salad.

    That sounds yummy.

Sissy made a big pot of vegetable beef soup one night, and I'm still eating the leftovers.

It was. I buy a whole cooked chicken and cut it up, great for cold suppers, and hot and cold sandwiches. I keep seeing that vegetable beef soup, you are going to have to send some my way! Lol.

Lol. I'm finishing it up tonight.

I'm thinking about buying a rotisserie chicken this week. I never heat cooked chicken. To me it's better cold. I'm not sure if Walmart offers it online. I miss the ones I used to get at Publix, and their subs were out of the world. But, I can't complain about changing stores because I'm saving a good bit of money on Walmart delivery.

I get mine at Walmart, and they go pretty fast! The price is good here around $9. A regular supermarket or food store up the price by $5 or more. Fortinos is a chain here, and they want $15! I do almost all my shopping at Walmart now. Their prices have gone up slightly, but at least they are not gouging you like everyone else.

Publix delivery items are gouged. Their precooked chickens are like $8, but you can walk in the store and get one for less than 5. Walmart delivers or ships anything they sell for the instore price. They have gone up here too, especially their soda, but I have more money for other things.

Home flipped hamburgers. I saw the meat in the fridge yesterday and was scared she was going to fix up some more soup. Lol. I'm ready for roast beef or fish sammies.

Seasoned pork chops and a German potato salad that I picked up at a gourmet store. It was a bit pricey but worth it!!

I've had that happen way too MANY times! Now I just buy them fully cooked and put them in my ActiFry, that way I can control it myself. Much better.

ETA - We had Papa John's peperoni pizza and brownies, which have just 240 calories and worked into my calorie budget after I deleted the key lime pie. (My goal is 1,430 calories per day.)
