Gone too soon. I was at a party when the news broke of his death. None of us could believe it. What a loss... RIP John.

Has anyone read the book, "John Belushi is Dead" ? I came across it on Google books & from what I can ascertain, it seems like an awesome death hag find. Anyone?
Ive never understood why people think he was a comedic genius. Never thought any of his performances were extraordinarily funny, just mediocre.
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.
For the times (late 70's-early 80's) he was a "comic genius" - but his comedic ways probably wouldn't go over as well these days as back then. Tastes have changed.
30 years tomorrow March 5th.

30 friggin years? Geez I feel old. I can clearly remember where I was and what I was doing the moment I heard the report come over the radio. Was wrenching on a 1976 Chrysler New Yorker station wagon, dark brown with matching leather interior and that typical fake woodgrain on the sides.
And of course it had a 440 cubic inch plant. RIP Johnny Boy
That's as much of an understatement as politicians being moderately attracted to money and power.
His widow (can we call her that if she remarried?) was on our local radio morning show last week talking about John.
I cant believe hes been gone this long.
Just found an interview with John and Dan on The Today Show in 1981.
Its kind of weird watching Belushi talk about his last meal.

You were so lucky to have met such a talented man, such a massive loss.
This was the groupie who was involved with a number of singers. She ended up killing John Belushi and served time for that. Quite the obituary:

Interesting story. I used to hang out at The Grange Tavern in the early '70's to see the bands. I wonder if she was there, you never know. RIP.
Today you could be standing next to someone who is trying their best not to fall apart. So whatever you do today, do it with kindness.
So remember reading the book; Wired; by Bob Woodward[1984]
about the last days of John Belushi very crazy time for him.
Carolyn(1958-2009) always in my heart.
On August 18th at 73 from years of declining health:

Sundown by Gordon Lightfoot was about her

She should have died instead of John. RIH.
Wow. Had no idea about Gordon Lightfoot.

Lightfoot's relationship: Sundown, you'd better take care if I find you've been creeping 'round my back stairs.
It's gross to see her with anyone after what she did to John Belushi.
People like to argue that he asked for it. Yep, he did ask her to load him up with a speedball. She could have said no though. Just walked away, but no. She was too fubared in the head to have the ordinary common sense to do that or call someone who cared about him enough to at least try to get him into rehab. Admittedly, Saturday Night Live was a drug-fueled fiesta back then. The cast members admit seeing it or participating in the heavy drug use that went on. He still had many friends from there and elsewhere, and a wife, who would've cared enough to at least try to talk some sense into him and get her away from him.
Adios you blood-sucking piranha of fame. This is as close as you get. Hope you're happy.
