    Fred Sadoff

    Fred Sadoff (October 21 1926 â?? May 6 1994) was an American actor.

    Born in New York, Fred served a year in the military from 1943-1944, and when he got out decided to give acting a try.

    Sadoff got his start as an actor on Broadway in the late 1940's. In 1956, he became personal assistant to Michael Redgrave and the 2 soon formed a production company together in London.

    Sadoff also directed many television shows for the BBC.

    Films Sadoff appeared in The Quiet American, The Poseidon Adventure, Papillon and The Terminal Man.

    On Television Fred starred in Barney Miller, The Rockford Files, The Streets of San Francisco, Ryan's Hope, All My Children and Days of Our Lives.

    Sadoff died of AIDS on May 6 1994 at the age of 67.

    I'm watching some of my Rockford Files DVD's and Fred Sadoff is in a few episodes. Really good actor - I was sorry to hear he'd passed away.

    I remember him, outside of the Poseiden Adventure, as the SFPD psychologist on the Streets of San Francisco. A solid actor.
