The press has been saying she's pregnant since she and William exited the church after their wedding. If she drank a glass of water, she had to be pregnant, if she put her hand on her stomach to brush off a piece of lint, clearly she was pregnant. Poor girl.

I hope this is the worst of her pregnancy. Hope the rest is easy for her and she enjoys it. Kind of ironic because Diana suffered pretty bad morning sickness too, with William, but I don't think she was hospitalized for it. Hope Kate and the baby will be okay.

Congrats to the couple. It seems like yesterday I was reading about Diana getting preggers.

You have to just love how the Conservative Politicans
in the UK and Canada are always going after poor single
mothers and kids for being on welfare.

But are first to kiss ass at everything the Windsor Royal
    family does.

They cost us hard working taxpayers the most.
(That being the UK. Royal family)

    I think it's great!
There is so much negative around so it was nice to see a positive.

I was so excited to hear this on the radio today. I adore Kate and William. I was pretty young when Charles and Di got married and never really liked her too much, but I think these two are just beautiful. I can't wait to see the little baby!!

That will be one adorable baby for sure. Kate is my favorite Duchess ever.
I heard on the news this morning that she was supposed to get out of the hospital sometime today, but I just saw on Google News that she will likely be there for a few more days. I hope there isn't anything wrong.
Is there some sort of "Royal Tradition" regarding what they will name he/she, or are we allowed to speculate?

I haven't heard of a possible name, it's early days yet. I do believe the baby will have the title Prince or Princess.

Or names possibly? This would be perfect. One boy, one girl. Just like Brandon and Brenda on 90210.

People are saying this would be the perfect time to change the laws of succession. If it is a girl she could be queen. I say YES!!

And they should call her Bambi.

They should avoid about 90% of the names on this list, except the old classics which are in their families anyway.
ESPECIALLY Nevaeh, one of the worst bad-luck invented baby names of all time.
And no random apostrophes or hyphenates or weird spellings of ordinary names, either.

I just saw on Extra that they actually have to come up with four names, so they have a little leeway.
I'm a fan of Queen Bambi or Princess Bambi though.

it def. won't be john. king john of england (magna carta fame) was an idiot...and the great great grandparents (king george V and Queen mary) had a son named john. he died young.
Diana had a brother.....named john...died , like two hours after birth.
    so THAT name is OUT.
if a girl...I am sure diana or frances will be a middle name. mary, alexandra, victoria, anne...all royal names
a boy....you can bet charles, phillip, andrew, or william will be in there. I am holding out for patrick....lol

If it's a girl they have to decide more carefully. Almost certainly won't be Victoria, because then there is the chance of two reigning Queen Victorias at the same time in the future (UK and Sweden). The last Queens Anne and Caroline weren't terribly beloved. Elizabeth is probably too close in time to have yet another reiging queen; Mary is likelier.

Charles once said he considered reigning as George VII in honor of his grandfather, though I doubt that would now happen. But a boy won't be John (agree with the above post), nor Philip (King Philip???) so they have to stick with something that falls in line with past monarchical titles. If for some weirdo reason Charles actually still wants to reign as George VII than I would place bets on Charles for a boy here.

What a complicated mess-but you can be sure they have to sit down and consult with people about the names-it happened with William's own birth much to Diana's frustration.

I recall that when William was named, the initials came out to WAPL (William Arthur Philip Louis.) The radio station WAPL in the USA sent the family a box of station souvenirs.
Since most of the royalty in the last 200 years has had at least 3-4 given names (some had 5) what TV or radio station's call letters would you like to see? With or without the prefix W (eastern USA) or K (west of the Rockies.)
Please, attractive young royal couple, do not name your possible son Frederick Oliver Xavier. Or your possible daughter Mary Sarah Nichola Beatrice Catherine. Maybe avoid Beatrice Barbara Charlotte too. (okay, I'm babbling...)

P.S., I did observe once that Catherine was not such a good-luck name for a British royal--- none of the previous Queen Catherines (three of which were Mrs. Henry VIII's) had great lives and often miserable deaths. Annes (Two Mrs. Henry VIII's) didn't do so well either.

Well if it's a boy the baby will be born
    bald with big ears.

Unlike Prince Harry who was born with a
full head of hair, but of course his true
    father is James Hewitt.

    LOL. Could be.

I think Harry is Charles' offspring though. If he were not, Elizabeth and Phillip would have had something done about it long ago. Keeping the blood-line pure and ongoing is the thing with these uber-wealthy and powerful Euro trash. Besides, Harry is red-headed as was Diana.

No, Hewitt is not Harry's father. Diana's family carries the ginger hair freckles gene

I used to think he looked like James H until I saw a pic of the other cousins and relatives in the royal family - some of them have the red hair too and look like Harry.

I have a son with similar resemblances to Harry with his red hair and freckles and yet theres no other redhead in the family. Like Diana, I MUST have slept with James Hewitt too, like every other woman with a red headed child....sigh!

I agree. And I think Harry looks quite like his dad, actually. Much more than he resembles James Hewitt.

Gosh no offense but I hope not. I didn't think Diana was extremely attractive. I hope she looks just like Kate. She is gorgeous!

They had some woman on the radio who had done research on the names in the family and she speculated on what the name would be. I can't remember now, sorry. I know Diana wasn't in there, which surprised me. I would think that would be one of the names for a girl. I really like the idea of the name Spencer for a boy, named after grandma's family name. I suppose it could be there in the middle somewhere.

Truer words never spoken, and it's a blood-lineage thing. For untold generations...centuries, actually...they believe they are born with a golden pot to piss in. That's what chaps me is they all actually believe they are superior to non-royals, aka commoners.

You might want to look up a picture of Harry's uncle, Charles Spencer. They could be twins. Diana did not have an affair with Hewitt until 1985. Harry was born in 1984.

I always thought Harry looked like Hewitt too, but now, as he's getting older, he is looking more like Charles. Diana's brother has red hair so that's probably where it came from.

It amazed me how many redheads there are in the UK. I visited London in the mid-90's and I felt so at home there. Being a redhead in the US is so different because there aren't as many of us. But in England, it was great to be with so many fellow gingers

I'm not too keen on the whole concept of Royalty, and if I had to interact with any member of royalty, I would find it very hard to not treat them just like any other person. Bloodlines, schmudlines... they're just people like anyone else.

That being said, I love Kate! She seems like such a nice, normal person, who would be fun to hang with. And I love that the line of succession has been changed so that, if they have a girl, she'll be first in line for the throne.

Who knows how long that will take, though. The Queen is still kickin', Charles is in his 60's and is still a prince, who knows when Wills will even become king!

Many many people in Canada do not hate the Royals. I am one of them.

Hate is a very strong word and they have done nothing to deserve it. At best a person could feel indifferent but hate? Save the hate for the people who really deserve it.

As another Canadian, I agree with Pwem and Maxster. I don't condone some of their behavior, but I hold a great deal of respect for the monarchy itself and I greatly admire Queen Elizabeth, she is truly a remarkable woman.

I would rather see people like the Windsors, who are classically educated, serve their country and do charity work held in high regard than the Kim Kardashians of the world.
