    Ed Delahanty

    Rather obscure baseball player, although he is in the Hall of Fame...the interesting thing about him is the way he died...supposedly...got drunk and was kicked off a train going from Detroit to Boston...he tried to run across a bridgenear Buffalo, NY...and was unlucky enough to fall into the Niagara River.

    His body was later recovered downriver from the falls.

    Defintely not obscure...he was a tremendous hitter & player. Very volatile individual, and prone to episodes much like the one that killed him.

    One of six brothers that played in the bigs, Ed being by far the best.

    It's interesting how even a name can have an old time feeling to it.

    Ed Delahanty.... that's a cool name..... a classic.
