I loved Nirvana, they were a great band that had so much more to give the world. I'm not sure whether it was suicide or murder but either way, it felt like the end of an era. I wish the police would investigate more and find any of the missing pieces, especially for his daughter who grew up without a father.

Even though she has grown up with a good head on her shoulders, I think she would have learnt so much from him and he would have been there for her as a father. Even though he thought she was better off without him, I bet she didn't and I bet she still misses him and is sad about not having her father around and not getting to know him throughout her life. So sad.

I saw that. IIRC, there wasn't a pre-nup and she gave it to him when they were together assuming if they split he would give it back. Last I read he claimed Courtney and some heavies tried to rob him and he was gonna file a report but nothing has come out since.

Sounds like a cash grab to be honest. Many lawyers including those who deal specifically with Child Pornography /Sexual Explotation have said he has little to no chance and he will find it hard to get a judge who agrees with him. They doubt the record company would have used the picture without a release but even if they didn't, he still doesn't have a case as they were there when he was photographed and didn't try to stop it. There is also the fact he himself has used it to gain attention over the years including recreating it so that screws up the invasion of privacy thing.

A few journalists have tried to get them released citing public interest over whether it was really suicide or murder with one even suing the police force to reinvestigate the case (which is why the photos were found and developed) but it was decided there wasn't enough there to start another investigation and because both Courtney and Frances have gone to court in the past and asked for them never to be released, citing physical /mental distress, everytime someone has tried, they have been told no.

The only other way would be a leak. If anyone knows different please correct me but from watching true crime programs that involved cases they deem solved or still cold, the evidence is locked up and if anyone wants to see them, they have to sign to get the stuff handed over. So if they ever were leaked, it wouldn't take long for them to figure out who it was and unless it was someone who was leaving/retiring who didn't give a crap, I doubt any of them would risk their jobs over it.

Believe or not, I'll give more credibllity to Frances and Courtney's mental distress if these picture were published, than to the mental distress of the now adult who had his three-month-old willy on an album cover and calls it pedopornography. We may all agree on this.

The fact is it was not uncommon to see full-frontal photos of kids on media back in those days. People even took photos of their naked babies and toddlers and showed them to everybody. It was a different time, a different thunk.
