She was Rose the maid in Upstairs, Downstairs (of which she was the series' co-creator); she was also Octavia in the Taylor-Burton Cleopatra. I believe the only surviving cast members of Cleopatra are Francesca Annis (Iras), Loris Loddi (Caesarion during Cleo's grand entrance into Rome on the Sphinx) and Richard O'Sullivan (Cleo's brother Ptolemy).

A wonderful actor, I loved the reboot of the show too bad she became ill and could only make a small appearance in the second series. It might have gone on for a few more years. RIP Jean.
