    Val Kilmer, 65

Shocked at this one, although not sure why, especially with him being sick for so long with cancer. He played a great Jim Morrison! Rest in peace:

OMG, I loved him! Not only was he great in Top Gun and The Doors, he was amazing in Tombstone. He also was the best Batman, of the movie franchise, IMHO. He will be missed!

The poor man had been so sick for so long that in a way I feel empathy for him that his ordeal is over. Like so many in this life KILMER was dealt a lousy hand with a horrible longterm battle with cancer. R.I.P.

First time I saw him was in 'Top Secret' back in the '80s and he was great. Whatever film I saw him in in the years that followed he was always a good turn and worth watching. RIP.

I am so heartbroken about this one. Cause of death wasn't the cancer it was pneumonia https://www.usatoday.com/story/life/...a/82772910007/

How does somebody so relatively young die of pneumonia? I read that he was a Christian Scientists. I know they usually refuse any medical treatment or prescriptions, usually until it's too late. Could this be why he died from something that is considered treatable?

One of the best actors that was NEVER nominated for an Oscar! The Doors, Wonderland, he could act circles around most of his contemporaries. RIP Val.
