For those who don't know, he was the blonde in the video for Butterfly that was played everywhere in 1999.
Shifty whose real name was Seth Binzer had addiction issues for years and was in and out of trouble with the police
His death was first posted on the LA Coroners site which said he was found in his home yesterday (24 June) but no COD has been released.

Until I heard the song I didn't know who he was. I wonder if he relapsed and it was an O.D. or heartattack.

Yeah, they were basically a one hit wonder band. They did bring out other stuff over the years and he was on one of the celebrity rehab back in the day but Butterfly is the only reason most people know them.Originally Posted by pkstracy
As for COD, TMZ says it's being investigated as an OD as things were found beside him which point to it being drugs.

Turns out it was a OD mixing prescription meds with street stuff. He was seemingly homeless and had been living in a tent when found.
