Roni was one of Ernest 'Pop' Stoneman's *13 musical children. I think the only Stoneman left now is mandolin player Donna.

Trivia note: Pop Stoneman probably wrote one of the first pop culture references (in the US, at least) to the sinking of the Titanic, his song "Titanic" from 1925.

I remember her and The Stoneman Family from a film called Road To Nashville. I've seen Roni on shows on her own she was one of the best players I have ever seen. RIP Roni.

I just watched a small piece on her on television. She did OK starting from little to nothing.
