    Cindy Wiggins Tapia, Our Admin.

Our FAD admin passed away on June 6, 2023. She was born June 10, 1956. She was a writer, I do mean a good one good, her words flowed like a river and having read some of her stuff , it made me feel like I was right there. She has one book published and was working on another one at the time of her death. She was also a devout Christian, who could be sweet and sassy just like a Southern Lady should be. She was a huge Brandon Lee Fan. Cindy it won't be the same without you around here..you'll be missed a lot.

Diet Coke from me too, Ria. Things that I will always remember about Cindy:
Her devotion to God. Her love for Harry, the dog. Her love for Sissy and all her nieces and nephews. Her awesome writing and blogs about Buford. I will miss her.

It's upsetting to hear that. It's sad we won't see her comments anymore and friendly reminders to be nice.

Saw a TV show last night on the VICE channel. It's called "(Re)solved" and it re-examines the deaths of celebrities. Last night's episode was about the death of Brandon Lee. How I wish Cindy was still alive, so she could see it.

I saw an advert for it and Cindy was the first thing I thought of. My dad was a huge fan of Bruce so we talked about them a few times over the years. Fingers crossed, she might bump into him up there as I'm sure she would love that.

She was among my first friends here too. And one of only two I've met here that I trusted enough with my cell number. I have dozens on my Facebook, but only two got my number. She will always be missed. I can try to fill her shoes and tell people to be nice, but I know I'm not the same.

A year? Really? Still think of her everytime I log on here. And sometimes when I think of what I want for dinner! Still miss you Cindy.

Every time I log in I think of her, especially "What's For Dinner 2Nite?". Very much missed with her wisdom and humour.

    I miss Cindy.
I took a break from posting here for a while, and was really thinking about coming back just to tell her that I had sort of "turned a corner" faith-wise.
Raised a Christian, I went through a long period of questioning and started calling myself an agnostic. After a while, I started thinking myself an atheist.
For no particular reason that I can name, I sort of came full circle, and I was thinking about coming back just to tell her about my change because I knew she would like hearing about that. But she was gone before I could do it.

I'm sorry you didn't get to tell her. But if it helps, she's smiling down and happy for you. I am, too!

I'm not the most religious person but I do like to think she is keeping an eye on all of us. That always makes me feel better.

I can't believe it's been a year. I think of her every time I crack open an ice-cold Diet Coke or post my dinner in the What's For Dinner thread. Only two FAD members have ever had my phone number. One was Cindy. The other is PK. A dozen or so others have access to me via Facebook. Cindy was in the middle of writing a book with a main character who has dissociative identity disorder (DID), and she was talking with me about it because I have it, too. I explained what causes it, how it develops, and how everyone who has it has it differently. I was going to be mentioned in it as her source.
