    Robbie Knievel- 60

Robbie Knievel, whose daredevil feats matched and perhaps surpassed those of his legendary father, Evel Knievel, died on Friday morning after a battle with pancreatic cancer, TMZ reports. Knievel was in hospice care and passed away with his daughters by his side.

Robbie Knievel’s motorcycle stunts were must-see events in Las Vegas. His list of high-profile jumps includes his famous Caesars Palace jump in 1989, the same jump his father attempted in 1967.

Sad to hear about his death, but it has to be hard for
a jr. name of a famous father.
So to live up to all the fame the Dad made.
Frank Sinatra jr Mickey Rooney jr....etc.etc

I'm a big, big, big fan of Robbie & Evel and when I found out about Robbie's death this afternoon, it shocked the h*ll out of me because, I guess, it wasn't expected or mainly, I didn't know he was battling this terrible disease.

Robbie, may you rest in peace. You're now out of pain and you've got a new body.

Big-time prayers going up for his family. I'm glad that I've got his one-and-only autobiography, "Chasing Evel: The Robbie Knievel Story". I just wish I could find a good DVD-R copy of Robbie's Caesar's Palace fountains jump because the VHS tape I have is almost no longer watchable.

Today you could be standing next to someone who is trying their best not to fall apart. So whatever you do today, do it with kindness.

Robbie wasn't a "junior", by no means. He was his own man - his own person. His father even admitted that during the famed 1989 jump at Caesar's Palace (Evel almost got very angry with the guy who was interviewing him that evening, as well, when the guy called Robbie a "kid" and Evel told him in no uncertain terms that "if you don't be careful, after this is over with, I'll show you what kind of kid he is!")
He could ride much better at 10 than his father could as an adult man (although, I'm sure his father gave him lessons on what to do and what not to do.

It doesn't mention Robbie's Mom, Linda. I wonder where she was at during all of this? You'd figure a Mom would want to be by their son's side while they're dying. I also wonder if Robbie's former drinking days didn't have something to do with him contracting Pancreatic Cancer?

I just hope that Robbie's finally out of his suffering and pain and I hope I'll get to see him in Heaven someday and get my own jumping lessons from him. I just regret that I never got to meet Robbie.

I also wish I knew of someone who had a good DVD-R disc of the April 14, 1989 Caesar's Palace jump because the one I have is from a worn out VHS tape. If anybody knows of someone who can or will make me a copy (I will pay for their time & trouble), it would mean so much to me!

Is Linda even still alive? I can't find yea or nay, but the year 2019 keeps popping up.
