    Judith Durham, the Australian folk hero who recorded worldwide hits with the Sixties band the Seekers, has died at the age of 79.
    Universal Music Australia confirmed to the Associated Press that Durham died Friday at a Melbourne hospital following a battle with the lung disease bronchiectasis.

    Loved singing along to Georgie Girl when I was younger. R.I.P.

    I remember going to buy the single of Georgie Girl when it came out, and it was sold out! I think I had to wait a couple of days before they got more in. I played that record till it wore out. Still a great song. RIP Judith.

    This is a tough one. Judith's voice became an iconic sound in folk music, internationally and especially under the southern cross.

    Judith had a lovely voice.
    The reason a dog has so many friends is because he wags his tail instead of his tongue.
