Just read it on TMZ. While I did like Gangsta's Paradise, my favourite of his was C U When You Get There.

According to TMZ, by the time the emergency services got there, there was no sign of life but they still performed CPR for 45 minutes. The manager claims he was told it was a heart attack but nothing is obviously official yet with it happening so recently.

He seemingly suffered from severe asthma. His family and close friends think that has something to do with it according to TMZ.

I'm not a rap fan, but Coolio had a message to get out to young minority kids in L.A. "Gangsta's Paradise" was an effort to get young men to think about consequences of their choices. He took Weird Al's parody, "Amish Paradise", as a direct slam at what he was trying to get across.
