This mural no longer exists, the building deteriorated and a multi-story building being constructed nearby would've blocked views of the mural anyway.
The new mural is located at the northwest corner of Broad and Tasker Streets, next to Green Valley Bank in South Philadephia. As much as I love it, why is Dee Dee Sharp missing? She's Philly-born! The new mural features Eddie Fisher, Fabian Forte, Bobby Rydell, Frankie Avalon, Jerry Blavatt (to think of Jerry as just a Disc Jockey is an injustice. He was a major influence on American music back in the day), Chubby Checker, Charlie Grace and James Darren. Below Eddie Fisher is a tribute to American Bandstand, which was originally broadcast from Philadelphia.
The flag is probably flying half-mast at Rydell High School.
