    Joel Taylor - Death Cruise

It's been over three years since Joel Taylor, star of the “Storm Chasers” television show passed away. He died from an overdose of Ecstasy while sexual marathoning on a gay cruise in January 2018. Although financially well off, he never bothered to prepare a will. His family had the burden of straightening out his estate. Folks, if you don’t have a will get a will. You can even do one for yourself with reasonably priced software or use a template for free online. Do a Durable Power of Attorney and Health Care Directive while you are at it.

I have always been intrigued by this case. It shows us how anyone can have a double life. He was an athletic and muscular 6' 6" 230 pound man who towered over most people. On one hand he was a beloved conservative Christian and TV star from a Baptist Oklahoma family who was kind and helpful to his fellow man especially during tornado disasters. He had a Gomer Pyle type of charm. On the other he was an amazingly endowed gay man with apparently a very overactive libido that he indulged on cruise ship and island vacations. He was very much the dominant alpha male from what I've seen. Oddly enough no pictures of him on the cruise have shown up on the Internet. This in spite of his being on a ship with thousands of men with smartphones. You would think a towering former TV star would be a major attraction for photographing and selfies with fans. My condolences to his family.

Bill do not post any website names that are porn sites nor vivid descriptions of anatomy...this goes against the rules.

He was a sweetheart of a guy from all the reports I have read. Very much into community service.
What happened to Joel is a reminder whenever you see a person in distress , choking , or passed out,
don't leave them alone. If they can walk to a restroom, stand by the door to be sure they are OK. If they have passed
out , call 911 or medical staff so they can give them a check over. Rule of thumb is if a person is ever too weak to
walk, they need immediate attention. Call 911 or take them to urgent care or emergency room.
His cruise friends carried him to his cabin after he passed out on the dance floor and left him alone to sleep it off. It was a forever sleep.

I remember Joel from the "Storm Chasers" TV show along with Reed. Chasing
tornadoes was his passion. A smart, good looking man with a sad end to his life. RIP

Continually shocked at the number of "well-off" people who never bothered to leave a will. Have a friend now in his 80's who went through quadruple bypass surgery 12 years ago, narrowly cheated death. We told him to write his will. He said, "Yeah I guess I should make one." Now he's getting radiation treatment for cancer. Still hasn't made one. Think it has to do with facing the inevitability of death and being in denial.
