Aaron breaking the HR record is one of those things that many remember exactly where they were when he did that. He said he didn't want people to forget Ruth but to remember him. We most certainly have.

Hank Aaron was the 1984 grand marshall of Apple Blossom in Winchester, Virginia. He was a replacement for Lydia Cornell from Too Close for Comfort. Even though Winchester said he was the best I got a feeling that city wished they had Lydia

The thing I remember when Hank Aaron breaking the HR record
seeing him crossing over 2nd base and two guys (coming from the stands)
who tried to give Hank a pat on the back(he gave them the elbow)

This one hurts. "Hammerin'" Hank Aaron was one of that all-time great baseball players. Atlanta Braves television broadcasts just won't be the same without him (he frequently appeared in the announcers' booth during home games for the Braves).

Also, former Los Angeles Dodgers player, Don Sutton, who was a radio announcer for Atlanta Braves games, also passed away.
