Janet had a brief career, one credited part and five uncredited parts. Her one credited part was as the little girl Cloestine in The Ghost of Frankenstein, which has earned her a place in the hearts of Universal horror film fans. In 2015 Gilbert Gottfried interviewed her on his podcast. She regaled him with tales of playing hide-and-seek on the set with Lon Chaney (who played the Frankenstein monster) and Bela Lugosi (who played Ygor, the monster's scruffy evil sidekick). Did I mention both Lon and Bela were still in costume when they played hide-and-seek ?
Her mom took her on auditions, hoping to get a film career started for her daughter. Then her mom died and her father gently but matter-of-factly advised her that he couldn't afford to take off from work to take her to auditions, etc., so her film career was over. She had no problem with the career being over, she accepted it and went on with her life. Apparently she kept in touch with Chaney Jr. (who adored her), inviting him to her wedding for example. In later years she appeared at various sci-fi/horror movie conventions, etc.
