    Helen Reddy. RIP.

She did pretty well over what really was being known for one song. Yes, I realize she did more than that but I doubt many could name anything else she did. I actually find that pretty impressive.

The only other song I can remember by her is Angie Baby. RIP.
Today you could be standing next to someone who is trying their best not to fall apart. So whatever you do today, do it with kindness.

Yep, That's the one I remember even though there are probably one or two others that made the charts.

Goodbye, Helen. You were always one of my favorites when I was growing up. You could croon them softly or belt them out. Loved your interpretation of "One Way Ticket" and your battle cry "I am Woman" even if most white, heterosexual men did not.

Could be, but I remember Tanya Tucker hitting it big with that one. I could be wrong though.

Yes that was Tanya Tucker. Stupid worthless story. LOL My neighbor got an Afghan dog when Delta Dawn was big. They named her Delta and we called her Delta Dog.

    Who first sang Delta Dawn?

"Delta Dawn" is a song written by former child rockabilly star Larry Collins and songwriter Alex Harvey, best known as a 1972 top ten country hit for Tanya Tucker and a number one hit for Helen Reddy in 1973.

I agree with this song. So enjoy 1970s radio.
    Carolyn(1958-2009) always in my heart.

Her music never appealed to me. I always remember Don Imus speaking over the record, "I am strong, I am invincible, I am pushy!"
