Kind of not a surprise at her age. She must have had such an interesting life. I just watched her and Bette Davis in "In This our Life"- one of my favorites along with "The Heiress" with Montgomery Clift. A true lady. RIP.

Ironic that the actress whose character died at the end of GWTW outlived everyone else in that film (except for Mickey Kuhn, who played her son). She outlived her son; her daughter Gisele has inherited her mom's good looks.

Most impressive performance to me was her Oscar winning role in "The Heiress". Her character took such a hard turn after she found out .... but she kept her reigned in and didn't overdo it. Perfect right to the end.

Several years ago Gilbert Gottfried & Frank Santopadre interviewed Bruce Dern on their podcast. FF to 11:00 to hear Bruce's account of what really happened on the set of Hush, Hush Sweet Charlotte with Olivia, Bette & Joan.

Eastman House has preserved/restored some of the Technicolor tests for Gone With the Wind. FF to 16:10 to see Olivia with Leslie Howard. Would love to know what she's saying, Leslie moves his head around so it's difficult to read his lips. Although they were also testing hairstyles, Olivia hasn't been fitted yet with the Widow's Peak hairpiece.
Gable's test is @ 4:20, some of it was filmed on the Scarlett bedroom set.
