Well at least she wasn't doing anything stupid like leaning out the window of a moving vehicle.
I guess the window warning stickers were obscured by something and maybe the safety device on the window failed to engage.
There again, she was a socialist.
Maybe she expected someone else to pay for her stupidity.
A faulty hypothesis forming:
A German scientist using Iranian physics and French mathematics.
Maybe, but I'm thinking that she saw something that compelled her to lean out of that window.
Even though pretty common in Britain, your first Bigfoot sighting is bound to make you jump up and take notice.
Got to be one of those, "I can't believe my eyes!" moments.
Or maybe she saw an apparition of Hitler riding a donkey being followed by Norse Gods (the donkey).
Or maybe it was even something pretty unusual; some kind of something that you just don't see every day.
Otherwise, that was just freaking stupid of her.

I damn near did a similar silly thing. On the Durango-Silverton Narrow Gauge in CO. Did not have my body out, the windows do not open that wide, but, I did have my forearms and hands , with camera, out the window. I was trying to get a shot of the rear of the Train curving in a rather beautiful way. Debra yanked me back by my shirt collar right before we passed some rather close rock walls.
