Sadly on a lot of American sitcoms after season one things
change for example : Taxi after season one Randall Carver(John)
was gone.
Then season two they had Christopher Lloyd(Jim) and not a
word about John ever again.

I believe that he said that there really wasn't a lot for him to do on Happy Days, so he left. I know that there was also another man who played Chuck, but I don't remember who he was.
The reason a dog has so many friends is because he wags his tail instead of his tongue.
