Stay in Drugs. Eat your School. Don't do Vegetables.
I just finished watching a show on the History Channel on 9/11.
It had footage of alot of firefighters up close, who went in and did not come back. They all died. It is horrible to see them and realize they are walking right into their death.
It's emotionally exhausting and it feels like it just happened yesterday.
I feel this way every year on the anniversary, as do alot of people.
There is another show on at midnight and going to watch that too.
It seems so important not to forget.
RIP to all of them who died that day...............
I personally have not watched anything about 9/11 tonight ( thanks to HBO) But it is nothing new, and it always makes me cry ( especially when I am premenstrual) This is something that will be burned in my head forever, I will NEVER forget that day, Kind of like Pearl Harbor.
That was a really horrible and I mean horrible day. The world was not the same after that's for sure.
pardon if this was already posted
I get out my kleenex for that one and the Clydesdale one.
I'm watching the History channel special right now and some guy on a cell phone just said he didn't arrive at work on time at the towers because he was watching Monday night football. "Monday Night Football saved my life", he said.
A teeny bit of humor to inject into the situation. Good for that guy, too.
Staten Island Memorial pics.
This one shows the profiles of the victims.
Memorials
My brother is the young bagpiper in the photos.
The one where they are carrying their fellow firefighter always gets me. He was already gone at that point.

Can I ask. What is that globe thing in the third picture?

Just watched the view posted above and my hands are shaking - We can never ever forget.
An Anheuser-Busch advertisement for Budweiser beer features the company's signature Clydesdale horses appearing to pay their respects to the tower-less New York skyline. It was aired just once, during the broadcast of the 2002 Super Bowl [20]. Yeah I stole that from wiki.
They only aired it once as they did not want to have it seen as an ad trying to capitalize on the tragedy. I looked for a post and could not find one.
It makes me cry every time.

I bawl and squall like a baby every time I see that one and the Bud commercial where the troops are in the airport and everyone starts applauding....Bud's advertising dept should win awards for those if they didn't.
OMG ... I had NEVER seen that ...
and now I am sitting here with tears streaming down my face!
AWESOME!

I am a crybaby. Actual tears.
Never seen that one! Thanks Kat...I LOVE those horses...If you have ever seen one up close they are such a thing of beauty...
I remember those well. I thought they were very moving and I was really pissed when the 'critics' said they were trying to capitalize on the tragedy. Good lord.
I have never seen that before, very powerful. I also love those horses.
can we get back to our sleazy quazi flirting in a moment?
I just found this memorial day tribute.

oh fuck. I am a blubbering mess.
Never saw the ads since I dont watch football. I do remember the two 18-wheelers trucks that cross the country making deliveries, the drivers have had the pentagon, the towers in NY and the field in shanksville, pa all professionally painted on the sides of their trucks. Complete with the names of the ones lost. I saw this while they were picking up freight at the Port of Oakland. They were leaving Oakland bound for Miami
This ad gives me the chills when I see it.
Love it!
Budweiser has the best ads. Jeep, too.
That made me cry and now husband thinks I'm nuttier than usual. Oh well.
PS. I want it NOTED that it was the REDHEAD that mouthed thanks.
We do have manners.
