This one feels like a punch in the gut. I was a huge fan of his acting and writing. He was a giant. RIP, Sam.

Great actor and playwright, very sad to hear this. RIP Sam.

Since I have been gone for so long these last few months of so many people passing brought me back...Sam was an amazing actor and writer...I'm surprised more people hadn't posted anything about him on here. I've been a life long fan...he will be missed. Right Stuff. RIP Sam. Thoughts with his family and friends.

Apparently a great playwrite, but I remember him for his portrayal of Chuck Yeager (who, btw, is a first class prick) in the film, "The Right Stuff".
