His children shared the news on his verified Twitter account Tuesday that Moore had died after a "short but brave battle with cancer."
"With the heaviest of hearts, we must share the awful news that our father, Sir Roger Moore, passed away today. We are all devastated," the statement said.In a humorous, rare, publicity photo - but not in the actual movie - Roger Moore hopped in the tub with Clint Walker
An underrated Bond and a great raconteur. RIP.
My profile picture and avatar are pictures of the lovely Agnetha Fältskog from ABBA, not me. I am a man, and an admirer of her. Friend proposers take note!
RIP.

Even though I thought he was a bit silly for a Bond, I enjoyed his movies. Live and Let Die was the first JB movie she had seen when I took her as my then girlfriend.

RIP good sir....and thank you
To my Father. Even though you have crossed the plane, you will always be with me.
You were not just my Father, but my hero. My life has been a poor attempt to be like you
You taught me music, vocals, and how to fight. I can only hope I am half the man you are
When I close my eyes I can see you. And finally, Thank you Dad. for everything.
March 1934-July 2016
Dang it. Rest in peace.
Well, THAT sucks! He was the Bond I compared the others to, always my favorite, and also the one I grew up watching. RIP
By my troth, I care not; a man can die but once; we owe God a death.... He that dies this year is quit for the next.

The visual details won't show up properly in this poor quality vid from The View (2008), but a decrepit-looking Roger Moore is spurned by Barbara Walters when he attempts a kiss. Trust me, I saw the original live back then and the poor old fellow half thought he was still attractive to women, but Walters was having none of his blotchy old lips. Needless to say, the rest of the interview was somewhat awkward but cordial. And yes, I have seen the Barb kiss men on the lips prior to this. Anyway, RIP, Sir Roger, and say hi to the head Saint for all of us.

I liked him in The Saint, and I only saw him in one Bond film A View To A Kill, his last outing in the role. RIP.
Today you could be standing next to someone who is trying their best not to fall apart. So whatever you do today, do it with kindness.
a service was held in Monte Carlo today

Not my favorite Bond, but he kept us going to fun, thrilling, movies. He was a staple of television and movies from the 50's on. He also worked as a model in Cunard ads for traveling on the "Queen Mary".
