He was 95 and had a movie made about him. One can't really be too upset here.

I woke up from a nap and saw this on my home page. Not a total surprise but still a sad hit. These gentlemen were incredibly brave to go up into space what was considered high tech for the day. He lived his life full throttle. RIP John Glenn.

    The Seven are together again.

Just saw this on the news. I remember his historic flight. They didn't however, mention if he'll be doing the space burial thing.

FYI: Like many other threads about noteable figures, Mr. Glenn belongs here--not in BTSBW,which is reserved for those behind the scenes of stage and film.

Glenn was a true American hero, along with the other Mercury astronauts. The space capsule was exactly that, a capsule. The protection they had from the perils of exposure to space and then re-entry, would have made any lesser men crap themselves. We will never see their like again.

Okay I'll fess up. If I had the opportunity I would totally view his remains in that circumstance. It's the Death Hag thing to do.
