Talented, eccentric lady. RIP
I'm glad she was around to see the success of 'Go Set a Watchman'.
Very sad news, RIP.
RIP.

RIP! Wow, buried in one day? No service or nothing?
I thought it was cool that she was friends with Truman Capote. 'To Kill a Mockingbird' is one of my all time favorite books. RIP!
I so enjoyed reading her book when I
was in High School.
Carolyn(1958-2009) always in my heart.
"Mockingbird" was a brave look at who Americans are or could be. I loved the novel, while the film was wonderful, but not to the novel. I think Harper Lee was merely happy to have told the story that she lived. It's a perfect book.
That it is, and it is being banned again ... ridiculous ! http://www.rollingstone.com/culture/...strict-w509085
Today you could be standing next to someone who is trying their best not to fall apart. So whatever you do today, do it with kindness.

"To Kill A Mockingbird" may be the greatest American novel.
One thing for sure: she was able to coast her entire career on the strength of that book. Much like J.D. Salinger with Catcher In The Rye. It's like they both had one book in them and nothing else to say after that. Either that or terminal writer's block.
Has anyone read the new book To Set A Watchman, I think it's called, was going to buy a copy when it first came out at the local book store but they wanted like 50 bucks, Still going back and forth on if I should buy it or not.
Thanks for giving me the right title, I thought it was a sequel.
