As someone who grew up in the Nashville area, I can tell you that Antioch (and Hickory Hollow in particular) is the armpit of Nashville's suburbs. The mall used to be bustling 20 or so years ago, but now you don't go there. You just don't.

I'm wondering if that's what the Studio City guy did too. He just shot the gun in the air in a busy area, but wouldn't drop it when the police showed up. He didn't seem to intend to hurt anyone, but knew if he didn't drop it he'd be shot himself. Thank God neither of these guys killed anyone, but I feel bad for the cops who had to shoot them, because I'm sure that most of the time shooting and killing someone is not easy on the cop.
