Yummy!!! We get ours already marinated from a little taquarita place down the street. I don't know what they do to it, but its amazing.

Tonight I'm making boneless, skinless fried chicken breasts and home made French fries, corn on the cob.

Chicken salad sammies, veggie straws--yummo!--tangerines, and popsicles. I cannot believe I ate 38 straws for 130 calories.

And I would be there. I made some the first year Nabo and I were together and they tasted American. And they had too much water in them. I might try again sometime.

IIRC I browned the skirt steak in probably butter (I don't know what he used), then I added Mexican onions and tomatoes, and smothered it in water, which he never did. He could cook something with just a minimal amount of water or oil. I don't think I used jalapeno or garlic. So that and the fact I'm Anglo went into it not tasting Mexican. Plus, there are just a few things that I can cook like nobody's business and forget the rest. Never really had to cook. There was always mommy or auntie or granny or sissy or baby, and husband. Why, yes I've been spoiled.

I'm having what I hope is the next to last .25 cup of chicken salad for a sandwich, veggie straws, Halo Cuties, and popsicles.

I have ground turkey thawing for chili. That I can cook. Lol.

Right now, though, I'm snacking on kumquats. I'd never had them before, and picked some up at Sprouts to try. Sour at first, but then sweet.

I was feeling a big nostalgic at the store the other day and bought a package of Carl Buddig chicken and a Totino's Party Pizza, haha. I'll probably have one or the other for dinner, and either some yogurt or jello for desert.

The new packaging on the Party Pizzas is kind of neat. It's no longer a round pizza in a box, it's a rectangular one wrapped in plastic. I got a bag of pizza cheese to add on just before it's done because I've yet to find any pizza that has enough cheese for me.

    Dammit, now I want a taco. :x

I went to a party on Saturday and was on my way home at 4:30am. I was so hungry, I passed the White Castle to see if Taco Bell was still 24 hours on the weekends. The drive thru was open. I asked the guy about it and he said they close at 5a on weekends now. I thanked them all for being open, I was so excited. Not that I don't like White Castle, it's just that TB sounded really good.

    Lol, Sorry... )
I made these tonight- But we use to have a pretty good taco restaurant here a couple years ago that use to do "Taco Tuesdays" You could get both soft and hard shell tacos for .49 cents each- no limit.
I couldn't make them for that with the size of our family so, That was great..But then they went out of business..
I still miss them because back then I knew I didn't have to cook on Tuesdays lol.

We don't go much either..We have a few here but you have to cross town to get to them..The last time we had Taco bell was last week after our daughter had jury duty, everyone was exhausted..It was on the way back-But otherwise haven't been there in quite some time.
Years ago I use to love love love their taco salads- But Just like everything goes, They changed them so now IMO they are just ok.

When I was in college back during the French and Indian War, my roomie and her boyfriend would stop at Dell or Bell Taco after church and always bought something for me. Before that I had never ever eaten a taco. And we had a Roman's Road Pizzeria and their pies were divine, let me tell ya. I think there's one here in the county seat, but I can't remember trying it out.

    Now i want pizza.

Tonight it's a toss up between a roast beef sammie and chips or hot dogs and chips. Hmmm....

I would give anything for some Maggiano's eggplant parmesan and a chopped salad without the prosciutto. Add grilled shrimp. But I think I will end up with a sandwich. Probably tuna or egg salad.

Homemade pizza with cheap whiskey for dessert. What can I say, I'm a cheap drunk. Told Hubby once, "I'm a cheap date." He rolled his eyes and said, "You're a WEIRD date." He's lucky he's cute.
