So messed up. So to avoid the torture he brutally kills his wife with a knife. Neither fast nor painless. And slits his children's throats so they choke on their own blood whilst trying to breathe. And yeah loan sharks are infamous for killing a dead beats families. Women and children and such. I'm being sarcastic btw. I've never heard of a loan shark so much as roughing up a guys family.

How about, he killed his pregnant wife and the kids because he was in over his head and thought SHE was the "shark'? I can imagine how a woman far along with her third child, and two older ones to feed, would react to learning her husband had lost everything past, present, and future to gambling, no matter how well they'd gotten along before. And maybe he was in the market for a younger, prettier, less-fertile model, IF his luck turned.
