Ray knew his time was near, so in recent days he went home from the hospital. And now, Ray Price has went home from there.
It appears the Tennessean is waffling on whether or not he has passed.

USA Today says reports of his death are in error. I just got through listening to a classic country dj friend of mine for a while and he never mentioned Ray and my friend is always on top of classic country news.

Moreover, on Ray and Janie's Facebook page, there is now a statement that Ray is still with us and that when the time comes that Bill Mack will make the announcement.

Even though I know his time is near, my heart sank when I saw this.
I am keeping a close eye on his FB page for the news.
AP is reporting that a family spokesman has confirmed that he has passed.
There are a couple of new RIP's on their Facebook
ABC is carrying the AP story that Ray passed this afternoon.

So sad, even though I knew it was coming
RIP Ray
I've been expecting to see this, but still hate that it is now reality. I'm glad he was able to be home with his loved ones. It's sad that our older talent is getting in bad health and passing away. I know it's a part of life, but still hard to accept. RIP, Mr. Price, you left your mark for many years to come and won't be forgotten.

I grew up with his music. Godspeed Cherokee Cowboy.
I mean, they say you die twice.
One time when you stop breathing and a second time, a bit later on, when somebody says your name for the last time.

Love his stuff from the 50's & 60's - before he got into that Nashville string sound. Thanks for the great music you left behind Ray!
RIP sir
R.I.P. Ray, thanks for the beautiful music.
Listened to some of his old stuff on Youtube. Going to purchase a cd tomorrow.
