Hi all, newbie lurker here.
I don't the that we'll ever really know the full truth of what happened. Speed, of course, played a major factor, but the short distance between them entering the car and the ultimate crash, make me think there was something else on top of it.
Reading both autopsy reports, I think that Roger Rodas took the brunt of the injuries. I don't think that without the fire, Paul Walker would have walked away. Without the burns, he had too many major injuries that by the time they got him out to work on him, I think survivability would have been very slim. I don't agree with the whole bashing of Roger Rodas, either. Obviously, Paul Walker felt comfortable enough to get in the car with him. If something had come up on the tox screen, I would think differently, but with the facts we know, it looks like it was an accident. Avoidable accident, most likely, but still an accident.
I was not a huge fan of his, in fact, I was way more shocked and upset to learn about
Philip Seymour Hoffman, however, he was a hottie and there was a small movie that I adored him in. It's called "Noel" and it was directed by Chazz Palminteri. It's a Christmas movie, a little on the sad, corny side, but I loved his role in it, and it's worth a look. Unfortunately, it's no longer available on Netflix streaming, but is available on Amazon streaming.
I did read that he just had taken custody of his daughter, due to his ex having a severe alcohol problem. She did live with her mom in Hawaii for 13 years before that. Makes it really a sad case for her.
The whole 16 year old thing does hit me as totally creepy, but as others have said, none of us know all the facts. I also read she was majorly pissed that he left his entire estate to his daughter, and did not provide anything for her, which screams to me that she is a bit on the immature side.
Just my two cents, anyway...
