The families of his victims have filed suit to stop the Patriots from paying him any more money.
Hernandez filed a union grievance saying the Patriots owe him $82,000 plus his $3.25 million signing bonus, the matter has gone into arbitration.

This case is pissing me off. It's been over a year and they haven't even started the trial. WTF!!!? It's so ridiculous. Every high profile case is like this.
Trial starts tomorrow, the court house is located across the street from the Lizzie Borden House.

I still can't get over the stupidity of this guy. Did he actually think he was going to get away with this shit? I just read up and refreshed my memory on the details. He must have the brain the size of a peanut. Sheesh.
FINALLY!!! Now maybe we'll have a verdict in the next 5 years.
Has anyone made a tight-end jail rape joke yet? Too soon?
LOL!! Nope never too soon for his punk ass!!! I can't BELIEVE he thought he could get away with all this!!! He had the world at his feet - his family was set and he threw it all away to be a freakin' thug!!! I feel bad for his kid or kids - they are going to have to live through this shit.
My Posse's On Broadway
That is exactly what he thought because for his entire life he got away with everything because he played football. He was ghetto trash while living in my hometown and basically a sad little thug who thought he was tough shit. Yeah Bristol, CT is really "gansta." Someone needs to drop his ass in Detroit for two hours and he'll see how "gansta" he really is.

I just saw a special on cnn about him ...the downward spiral of aaron ..... and I turned to the hubby and said "good grief he was just a little troublemaker from the beginning..trouble followed him everywhere..."
It's expected to go to the jury today. Any guesses on what will happen? I'm betting 1st degree murder and it won't take the jury long to decide.
i'm hoping you're right Stewie. but after disaster trials last couple years, never know. he sure acts like the smug jackass he is

Casper, I love you so much baby boy... waking up with you in the house is a blessing every day! Thank you for filling our home and hearts with so much love, joy, laughter and ever so sweet Sammy smiles! We belong together! XOXOX
2 days of deliberations already. I guess I was wrong on the fast deliberation part of my guess.
Still think he will walk free.
(Hope I'm wrong)

It was Casey Anthony that did it for me. Nothing will surprise me again when it comes to juries.
I haven't read about a case that had so much physical and circumstantial evidence stacked up against someone since OJ. The difference is that OJ had an entire career and then some to build goodwill plus the fortunate timing of the Rodney King case to help him. AH is going down not once, but twice once they try him on the other two murder charges. First NFL'er to get death row in my opinion.
I said it first: he will walk free.

If by some miracle he does walk free I guarantee you there will be NFL teams begging him to play for them as he walks out of the courtroom.
If I'm not incorrect, Ray Rice hasn't found a job yet and all he did was punch his wife (I minimized that only for the purpose of contrasting it to murder, I hate spousal abuse). The NFL has found it more financially beneficial to turn their backs on these guys then to embrace them.
Ray Lewis is a better comparison to the Hernandez situation... if he gets found not guilty. The thing with Rice is that there was video showing he hit his fiance. Here's the Ray Lewis story in case you don't know it. About 3/4 down. The bit titled "Murder Trial". Ray Lewis didn't even miss a game.

Thanks, I'll check it out.

yes!! Not so smug now ehh asshole? bye bitch
Life without parole. I guess the NFL calling discussion is a moot point now
I think a lot has changed in the 8 years since Vick was charged. I would venture to say his case might have been a catalyst towards the NFL trying to improve its' image. He also served a prison term so I think there was more of a sense that he paid the appropriate price to society so it was easier to allow him to move forward. We didn't get that with Rice.
I said "Yay" upon hearing this on the radio at work. People stared at me a bit.
That makes a satisfying trifecta-- Ms. Spears the Mom from Hell, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev the Boston bombing boy, and now THIS! Not bad at all. On the fence about the "other" Hernandez on trial for killing Etan Patz, but two of the above three gave me a bit of anxiety (the Boston case being pretty much a given and I don't much care whether DT lives in some max-sec prison the next 70 years or dies next year.)
Hopefully "this" Hernandez will also be convicted for the killings of the two other guys who "dissed" him.
