You don't "vote" for Trump - you commit to him.
    Completely.

I've recently started referring to him as the David Koresh of politics.
He's running around pouring gasoline while his faithful play with matches and scream about how the anti-Trumpers are going to burn down the Republic.

It wouldn't be that bad if the only thing they could burn down was their own messed up imaginary reality, but they're actually going to burn down the Republic.

Thanks His I agree with you and Jim yes so true, glad he got impeached but that really means nothing unless the senate convicts him which as they won't and I doubt he'll pull a Nixon and resign.

So has President bone spurs, started WW3 yet?
I'm sure Donald jr and Eric Trump will be the first to
    volunteer.
Also what about his daughter, creepy love of his
    life Ivanka.

The fact that Bush and Obama passed on chances to kill the guy suggests that it might have been an ill considered decision.
And yeah - deflecting attention from his impeachable crimes might have been a motivation.

I forgot to add though that it's all good and proper.
God is on our side, I guess that actually makes it righteous.

Everybody in that photo is an absolutely shameless shyster, and therein lies the reason for the TV-preacher evangelical support for Trump - cons helping cons.
This is too retarded for words, and people (voters) are out there believing it and whipping out their checkbooks.

Of course he did. Plus, from what I understand, an impeached president can't be thrown out during war time.

I do not post as much but still do read-and agree with the wisdom of posts like those of PK and Cindy You both are so right.
This is a subject that is frequent in our home(sadly) My daughter predicts ppl killing themselves if Trump is punished, etc. (fill in the blanks) I am 56 yrs old & never have seen such delusional cultsters like those of “TRUMP” it is rather Jonestown ish.
This hate bag keeps thinking he is “reining supreme” But then again, So did all the followers of the mixed nut dictators before.
Sadly, I guess we will see how this little napoleon will pan out. Hope his psychopath followers will get it in the end, if not...Oh well! The world is better off without the trash! JMO

I now alternately refer to him as:

    President Palpatine
    Darth Donald
    President Koresh

A couple of guys at work talk about him being such a great President - maybe the best ever, certainly the best in their lifetimes; yet when you ask them to name the single greatest thing he's done they just give you a blank stare.

It's similar to the look you got back during the campaign when you asked why they supported him:
Blank stare followed by, "Why, he's a billionaire!"

Someone I once knew has that same mindset, I do keep up with others who are still in contact with him though just to hear the rhetoric. Amusing and baffling !

Trump did a weird thingy with his tongue and sniffed 58 times during his speech. They are calling him Sniffles the Clown on Twitter. I'm dying.

    Darth Sniffles.

The big question to me is who the hell willingly watched the guy besides the fake news media - since reporting anything he says is reporting on a lie - or the ones who already pray to him and want their children to be like him?

So now he's all butthurt that his cameo in Home Alone 2 has been cut from the movie. It was cut, along with 8 minutes of the movie, to edit it for television and allow for commercials. His cameo added nothing to the story and was cut. *shrugs* Too bad, Trumpy.

You just know the reason Trump hates Nancy Pelosi is

I half way expected him to lose it during the speech.
Thought he might maybe strip his clothes off and run around shaking his wiener at people saying, "I AM KING OF THE WORLD"; or something like that.
Of course if he had, the GOP present would have applauded while Fox News would have reported a speech of unprecedented brilliance, and his followers would have said it was nothing unusual and a perfectly normal thing for a president to do under the circumstances.

But we have a problem brewing:
It's looking like the election choices will be between Trump and some hard left liberal or even a socialist.
The Dems are going to field a candidate that conservatives like me who despise Trump cannot support, and one that even middle of the road liberals will not support because they are too far left of center.

Trump is going to win by a landslide.
For once he'll be claiming record numbers that will be true.

So I've been watching the Dems kind of stumble and bumble their way toward the election, and I think I have some advice for them:

    Just sit this one out.
Take a pass and start thinking about '24.

There's really no point in going through all this preliminary stuff just to arrive at finding out who's going to lose to Trump.
As much as many people dislike the guy and want to see him lose; there's no way enough people are going to vote for a hard-left Dem or a socialist to make that happen, and the Dems are deluding themselves by thinking they can field such a candidate and have any chance of winning.

This is going to be the most lop-sided election in history, I suspect.

So I guess we aren't going to discuss his ten-minute reading off the teleprompter earlier tonight? Seems he's finally admitting coronavirus is real and won't just go away. He's supposedly promising to continue to pay people who are quarantined and would face financial hardship. HA!!! I'll believe that when I see it. My roommate kept insisting he would go off-script and sound like the complete imbecile that he is.

He's going to make sure that quarantined people continue to be paid, guaranteed.

Actually, Jim, I have heard a lot of people that voted for him say they aren't going to this election year. I won't be surprised if he wins again, I just hope he doesn't. I mean he can only serve another term but the way his mental state is, I feel that there is something wrong with him like early-onset dementia or that he is going to have a heart-attack, he won't last long.

Yeah, well; not everybody agrees with that you know?
The "My Pillow" guy says that God gave us grace on November 8, 2016.
The "My Pillow" guy says that our President gave us so much hope.
The "My Pillow" guy says that his pillows will be the most comfortable pillows we've ever owned.
The "My Pillow" guy is evidently out of his freaking mind, probably to a dangerous extent.
Being the average Trump fan is just puzzling, thinking that God sent Trump to save us is disturbing in the same way as having voices in your head commanding you to do things.

Yes, I know. Way too many Canadians think he has one up over Trudeau for unexplained reasons. I can never get a straight answer as to why they think this.

I know people who, when asked what good Trump has done, will not answer, because "You wouldn't believe me." Yeah, right. They don't know themselves. They hope on everything good that happens in this country, regardless of who brought it about, and bow down to that Gashole.

I think most Trump supporters are so self-deluded that they can't even conceive of why anyone wouldn't support him.
When I ask people why they support him, or what's his greatest accomplishment so far, I just get a blank stare, usually followed by something like, "He's the greatest President of our lifetime!".

It's the same syndrome as during the campaign:

"Why do you support him, what qualifies him for consideration?"
Blank stare, then... "Why, he's a billionaire!"

I've started really blowing their minds at work.
    I talk about my conservatism.
I refer to myself as a "Reagan Republican".
I mention my loathing for socialist ideals and my support of capitalism.
I talk about my voting history.
I tell them that Trump is a con man running a scam.
That he is a phony conservative who cares nothing about this country or anything other than himself.

I haven't seen any heads explode yet, but I can see in their eyes that as I talk about my support of conservatives, they feel their biases confirmed.
Then when I say he's just a con man, it completely fails to compute and they go speechless, which I think compliments thoughtless pretty well.

I can see in their expressions that they are trying to reconcile my stated conservatism with non-support of Trump, and they just can't get their heads around it.

Then I cap it off by saying that Fox News is strictly for entertainment purposes, just like professional wrestling.
That forming opinions based upon what you see on Fox is like drawing an understanding of science by watching Doctor Who.

I've noticed that when you mention any dislike for Trump, there is an immediate assumption that you are a Democrat or a liberal.
It's automatic, they don't think any other state of mind is possible.
I establish conservative credentials, then dis their savior, then say that I can only wish that a credible, ethical conservative would stand up and challenge the lying con man.
I also add that I would have to consider a credible, ethical, middle of the road Democrat too, just not a hard left liberal or socialist.

This is amusing and disconcerting at the same time, but it reminds me of a realization I had prior to the election:
Trump is not the problem, he is a symptom of it.

Because Prime Minister Justin Trudeau knows how to step
up when a problem like covid-19 occurs.

Unlike the Ontario Premier Doug(former drug dealer) Ford.

Stick to pro wrestling - it's far less dramatic and a bit more credible.
