Happy Turkey Day! I'm having pork chops. Lol. And Baked potatoes, salad, pecan pie. We were going to have T-Bone but they were out. Hubs came home from work and said "Did you get lima beans?" Lol. Sooooo I had to go back to the store and get limas. There was a time when someone said "If you eat with Cindy you can rest assured there'll be lima beans on the table." Ha. Turned hubs onto them and now he has to have them with my Southern style dishes. Hubs and I will cook together and it's always fun. He doesn't care for American turkey; he says Mexican turkey is better. Who knew?
My sister will probably have a shit fit when she learns I'm not coming to the traditional get-to. But she hasn't even called me this year, because she is expecting me to call and I'm tired of being the one to keep contact all the time. It gets old. And I just want to stay at home this year, visit FAD, of course, and curl up in bed with Robin Cook's Intervention.

Yes Jim they have. And after the Great Black Friday Debacle of aught9 , I will NOT be shopping. The only thing I will be doing is going to the Sears appliance store ( we small towns have those) and purchasing a fridge.
My dream fridge. That I fell in love with. We had a budget of $1500, the one I reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally want is $2300. Mr Red said he did not think it would be marked down enough to fit our budget.

Today Instead of asking something from God, I tell him Thank you. Thank you for all the blessings that have showered down to me, my friends and to my family. I personally want to say thank you to all of my findadeath peeps, you guys rock! Every single one of you. You guys have filled my life with so much and not even personally knowing ya thats just huge! From support on my pregnancies to ian in the hospital. All the deep thought conversations to the laughter i gain when my day is completely shitty!
Again I love you guys, and thank you so much for being part of my life! I wish all you guys a happy thanksgiving to you, your loved ones (here on earth as well in the afterlife) and friends. May you all enjoy your yummi nummies, mini vacations and football!!!

I'm a little sad, though. This is the first year where I won't be spending Thanksgiving at my childhood home. My parents moved and they're in Canada at the moment. It's the first time I haven't done anything on Thanksgiving. Bummed out.

I'm very thankful for my family and the fact that I am now one of the gainfully employed! I miss some of my friends back "home" but have been texting them so I feel a little better. But I am truely thankful for my FAD family! I can be having a horrible day oe week or month and I know I can come here and one of you will post something to make me smile or laugh. And your support when I needed it didn't go unnoticed, either! Rhonda pretty much said my exact thoughts (except for the pregnancy one. lol!) so I'll just say I love you guys!
