Thanks! Some people look at me kinda funny when I admit that I can "see" things. I can't help what I am, that's just me.
She told you that you have jealous people around you? Oh, please. We ALL have jealous people around us. Seriously. There's always going to be someone jealous of you because of your looks, or your belongings, or your spouse, or your career success. That's just a load of crap she spun!
And she wouldn't know if you had a curse on you at all. And even if someone cast a curse on you (give it a rest already, a curse won't work, neither will a hex, the best you can do to someone else is bind them so they don't have the urge to contact you again, and even then that's iffy), the best a true psychic could figure out would be that there was something hanging over you, and if that particular psychic was well-versed in spiritual arts, might help you learn to put up a protective "bubble" around yourself, or give you a mirror spell, so that anything negative someone tries to put on you comes back to them instead.
I'm sorry, I'm rolling my eyes that she thought you were gonna buy that crapola!
Heaven holds a sense of wonder....
you are always in my dreams!
I've been to both years ago... maybe it's a coinscidence but I had a tarot card reader and a palm reader that were dead on about my future....
The Tarot reader was from Germany; Eva was her name... RIP Eva she's passed on now. I will never forget this woman as long as I live. she charged me $10. I sat at her kitchen table she shuffled and dealt the cards.... She looked up and took at my hand she said Your mother is not around?
My mother died 3 years before...
Then she said you need to get your father to a doctor... she pointed to an area of her chest near her heart she said He has something right there that is not good
My father died 2 years later with a tumor in the same spot she pointed to.
she said that I have feelings for a man but he has alot on his mind. I told her that I was going to see him the next day She said No you'll see him tonight.
when I got home from seeing Eva the guy called and wanted to see me.
I was white as a sheet when I left that room... two friends were with me they were afraid to get thier cards read.
the Palm reader... she was a young indian girl at a town fair... she charged $5 she took my palm and said "you will marry for the second time and you will live your life in a different state.
I am married for the second time and I moved from PA to OH.
she told me I'd have a child, I did pretty general I know and she said that I should have higher self esteem.... she was right on that as well.
Now maybe these are generalities that psychics and paln readers use but they sure freaked me out.
also the same palm reader read my friends palm... she kept saying there is someone with the letter M in you life... she kept thinking that's not my Boyfriend then she said Michael still didn't ring a bell with my friend. The next day she realized she had a male friend named Mike and it turned out he was in love with my friend.
Pretty scary to me....
Hey, for everyone that has PMed me, give me another day, and I'll get back to you with a reading. I can see the light at the end of the research paper tunnel, and I'm on a roll!
I've been getting the cards read by this crazy woman for quite a few years. I was walking through Kensington Mkt. one day and I felt this incredible urge to go to her sad little sidewalk set up. She called me over and said "You want me to read the cards don't you?" She's pretty bang on, there is only one thing she insists will happen that I can't see but we'll see.
She calls me when she's drunk sometimes. I never bring it up and I don't know if she remembers.
I went to a Palm Reader this past year at a Zydeco Festival in Napa, CA.
She said that she saw alot of Police around me. I said "Well Yaaaa", and I pointed out her curtain to all these ladies standing outside the door. I was with the girls from my bocce team and they all work for the local police dept.
That said, I think very few people have that gift and at times I have totally believed it to be false. But I do believe in a "Sixth Sense" type of thing. Alot of times I will be thinking of someone that I haven't see in years and they call or show up the next day. I use to play it as a coincendence, but not anymore. Some People just have a higher "Sense" then others. I'm not one of those.
That is one thing I always wondered about charging psychics, if they can't read you do they feel obligated to BS you because you paid? Whereas if you do it for free then you can say, "Hey, I'm sorry I don't see anything" and not feel like you've cheated someone. Also, looking at someone like John Edwards or Sylvia Browning (just using them as examples) being in a room with so many people wanting readings sounds like it would be physically and mentally exhausting.
I know Silvia Browne is full of all kinds of BS. My cousin went to see her years ago. I'm not even going to go into details of how many times appointments were cancelled. You did not even find out it had been cancelled until you arrived at her offices which she shares with her good for nothin Son. This being after you had traveled one hundred miles just to sit in her presence. Here's the website and if you really look through it carefully you will see what a fraud she is. SHE...being the lady who told the parents of Shawn Hornbeck their son was dead....then they found him alive a year later.

Years ago, I saw a phone number where you could call and ask a 'psychic' a question for free.
I called and she said to call back later and this went on 3 or 4 times during the day. The last time I called, she yelled at me to stop calling and slammed the phone down on me.
Another time, I called that line that Esther Rolle from Good times pushed. I called and hung up after hearing the rates. It got charged on the phone bill anyway(it was alot)
My Father wrote a note on the bill and we didn't have to pay(thank goodness for me)
i went to an Australian psychic medium show, the show was called spirit whispers and the spirit mediums name was, Charmaine Wilson.
It was a John Edward type show and we were lucky enough to get read, everything she said was dead on, i have no doubt in my mind that she was communicating with my brother! this show only cost us $21 each.
Her one on one cost $95 for a half an hour-45 minute reading, but well worth the money
You know I don't think you were stupid at all. Because you never know which ones are the crooks and which are real.
I have been to 3. The first was a crook, the second I think she was totally faking but don't have real good proof, but the third... different story altogether.
She told me that I would lose 2 females close to me. Both blood relatives. She said the second one to die would change my life forever and that she would have blue eyes and blonde hair. She said the second death would bring me pain that I had never felt before both emotional and physical. My Grandmother died 2 months later and we lost our daughter... she was born with blue eyes and blonde hair about 8 months later.
Sooo you never know. But don't feel stupid! You aren't!
I have always wanted to go to a psychic, but have not taken the plunge and gone. I do believe some people have special abilities. I always wondered if they saw bad things in your life if they would warn you or just gloss over them, but am glad to see from previous posts that they do indeed tell you. I guess I am going to have to get up the nerve and try it...my life is a little melancholy right now for no apparent reason and it would be nice to see if there is anything good coming my way or if I should make some life changes!
Shamrocker, I have never glossed over anything in a reading for anybody. The cards say what the cards say, and keep in mind, nothing is ever set in stone, because your destiny continually changes with every choice you make.
In other words, if I were reading for you, and saw something not so good, I'd just tell you. It's up to you what you do with that information.
I so agree!!.... If you are a psychic you do NOT HAVE THEM ALL THE TIME!!!.... I look at these tv shows and they are just basic generalisations, mention 'theres a man here.. I think its a John... or something with a J in it' and someone (if not everyone) will know a John or a Joe etc or if not.. hey its a woman!!.... Sometimes the feelings are very very strong and they leap out at you.. the stronger it gets the more you see.... but thats not with EVERYONE!!... Otherwise you would go nuts!!
I truly believe that psychics that recieve cash are in it for the whole wrong reasons, you dont make money out of peoples feelings, thats for hookers and greetings card manufacturers.... If you have the gift then you tell people if they want to know and only if you can genuinely tell or see something. Money would make you feel compelled to tell them something, and you know (based on age and a few random pleasantries) what you can say and get away with.
Ms K. Thanks so much for the info! Maybe I will give it a chance!
BINGO!
I can't "see" things all the time. Nor would I want to. Jesus, if I could "see" spirits and things around people all the time, I'd lose my mind.
After all, it's a hell of a jolt to realize that the person you've been seeing is actually a ghost, or that you're "seeing" events in someone else's life. Having that all the time would be too difficult.
No, if I can't "see" anything, I just can't. Can't force it, it's either there or it's not. And if it's not, there's all kinds of reasons for that. Some people put up really good walls, and you can't penetrate them. Sometimes, you're not meant to see whatever it is that you can't see. Sometimes, you're just off your game, lol.
Anyone who claims they can "see" all the time is lying out their ass. And I have only met ONE person who got paid for a reading who wasn't full of shit, and she didn't charge, the person she was reading for left money, without saying a word. I guess she thought it was worth it. My friend felt HORRIBLE....until she realized that since she didn't ask for it, and it was offered, it would be rude not to take it in the spirit of being a gift.
YYEEESS!!! Someone who understands... I dont see things all the time... but sometimes..bang.. its there. Last year I had a painter in the house whose mother was with him. (in spirit... he didnt just take his mother to work with him, thats just odd!!).. after about ten minutes both his brother and his niece where there... clear as day.. its the best and most clear one Ive had . The information given to him was personal to him.... his brother kept saying ' I just fucking went, I just fucking went' ... this I couldnt understand, so I told him what his brother was saying. It turns out his brother went into hospital on a day visit for a minor op, never told his family as it was just a minor thing.... had a heart attack on the table and died. He never got to say goodbye so I think thats why he was saying what he said... but he still never said goodbye there were no messages, there hardly ever are... Ive yet to meet a spirit that says 'Tell our Betty to look behind the fridge' or something useful, they normally seem confused and quite disorientated (or maybe thats just the ones I attract!!)
I've got my own set of Tarot cards, and I read for friends....we have more fun with that than anything....
Ms. K...you are so cool....and honest. Maybe i'll pm you...
All I could think about with the job opportunity that Tallulah mentioned was....
Ms. Cleo and her Psychic Friends network.....anybody remember that crazy woman??
I don't think you were stupid at all...I think you were very smart because you saw thru all her bullshit....and that, my dear, is half the battle....
"Go to Heaven for the climate - Hell for the company" - Mark Twain
Ha! Half the time, they're too busy wondering WTF just happened, even if they died physically years and years ago.
The other half the time, if they are leaving messages, it's not like a Psychic Answering Service, lol. It gets lost in translation, so to speak, and when a spirit tells you, "Tell her not to worry," and the person asks you worry about what, and you tell them, "How the hell would I know? That's all he said" they get irritated.
Dude, it's not like cable TV! It ain't always on!
My wife and I went to our grieving parents meeting last night and one lady says she went to a local psychic and she also got read by John Edwards in a group surrounding. She waited 2 1/2 years to get a private reading with this local lady.
I went on Sylvia Browns website and for a PHONE interview (between 20-30 min) it's $850 for her and $750 for her son.
Anybody ever visit any of these people? How accurate were they?
What was it like?
My friends mother hired a local astrologer for a party and she said he was really accurate with all the readings.
Many many years ago a very large mall in our area used to have all kind of shows and they used to have a Psychic Fair every year. Never went.

Most of these people especially Sylvia Brown are a bunch of phonies.
The only one I have ever seen that was accurate was Princess Eugienia and she is dead now. But she told me in 1971 that I was a bout to lose someone very close to me in August and my husband died 8-71 . She also told me that my Dad was going to die in July of 78, he died -7-4-78..there are real people out there that CAN read cards and can really tell you things but you have to look for them and the ones on TV that charge 850 bucks are usually bullshitters.
There is a way you can locate one locally , Go to the Psychic Fair and you will meet some real ones. Just going to the Fair costs those people a bundle.
I have had cards read, palm read, handwriting read none of them were correct...
My daughter gave me the card to a spiritualist, a few people have said she was accurate, but we have not called her yet. My daughter had a woman read her cards for the first time, and she was at least correct in some of things she saw about her..
I have, several times. You need to find someone local. Don't get taken in by the big time, big named people. They are usually masters of deceit. This might sound odd, but I found a lady by asking a cop friend of mine. She sometimes helped with investigations. I saw her and she was great. What I noticed was that she told me things, she never asked me things. She didn't have tarot cards, or tea leaves, she just held my right hand. She never advertised. All of her clients were brought to her by word of mouth, and she didn't use her abilities as a source of income. She charged me 20 bucks....this was back in '98. At the time, it was the best 20 I ever spent. She brought me peace.
Carrie, I actually wrote to the Social Worker in charge of the group because the way it sounded the lady got the info on the psychic from the Social worker.
I checked out Psychic Fairs here in Jersey and I actually saw one in this hotel I actually knew and then the date on it was 2002.
Now I need a psychic to tell me where there's a psychic fair.

i have had had my cards read and it was NOT accurate at all. i had them read by a supposed "expert" who is supposed to be well know in the paranormal world. five other people i know very well also had their cards read by this dude and only 1 1/2 of their readings were some what accurate.
take it with a grain of salt is all i can say
No, but some of them have very nice brochures.
Stay in Drugs. Eat your School. Don't do Vegetables.
I would never pay that much for a reading. I think it's more for the name than anything.I'm actually gonna be doing this in Dec-Jan with a medium who does spirit drawings. She draws pictures of those she's communicating with. The pictures on her website are pretty cool. She's also a pastor at a Spiritualist church in my old hometown. There is a website BestPsychicMediums.com that can narrow down some good ones for ya by state. Also, lot's of interesting reading there.
I went once a long time ago. She only asked me my birthday, and then read my palm. She told me things - specific things - about a relationship I was in that no one knew about, so it freaked me about a bit.
I agree with Carrie - find someone local. They usually aren't in it for the money.
"Go to Heaven for the climate - Hell for the company" - Mark Twain
They've fixed it now, I lost my camera so I couldn't take a picture of it... There is a psychic near here. The front half of her office building caught fire. It was soooo funny.
Some psychic, eh?
You certainly need to be careful and form your own judgement and there are plenty of scammers out there.
I have been going to a wonder medium for th last 13 years. He will not see you more than once a twice a year.
His name is Glen Dove and he is located in NY. He is a contemporary and friend of Jon Edwards.
He is incredibly accurate. You need to really prepare for a meeting with him. You need to refresh your mind with family dates etc. In the midst of a reading it is easy to get confused and have trouble sorting through what is coming through. He tapes your session and gives you the tape.
I am one of the most pragmatic people around and I went with my better half who had been seeing him for years.
The first time I went without knowing anything about me he picked up on a dear friend who had recently passed fromaids including his name, his partners name and his profession. He was accurate about family members including something he told me about my late Uncle that I didn't know which was later confirmed by my very shocked father. He told me one of my Uncles kids was not really his. My Dad confirmed that he adopted his step son as a baby and because the real father was not in the picture they just never told anyone. My dad had actually forgotten about it.
My Mom and Dad passed within a couple of years of each other. I had not been to him in a couple of years because I was consumed taking care of my Dad.
I wasn't there five minutes before my Mom and Dad and my Nephew came in. It was emotionally really like a family visit right down to my parents bickering over somethey absolutely would have when they were alive.
I know you are vulnerable right now but the right person can bring closure.
Here is Glen's contact information. http://www.glenndove.com/contact.htm
I really respect this man so if anyone contacts him please be respectful. Good luck with your decision. Glen will do phone readings in some circunstances. He does them for my sister and bil in Indiana who lost her son. Again I wish you peace and comfort from whatever path you choose.
Regards,
Mary
Yep. People that I know, dig that stuff and always want me to tag along...Anybody ever visited a Psychic, Medium, Card reader?
One said I'd be married to two different men. One is plenty, thanks.
Another said I'd have five kids. Newp.
Yet another told me when I was five years old that I'd be a famous ice skater. Unless fucking around on the internet counts, that's also a big strike out.
.
Sylvia Browne - I saw her on Montel Williams. I think towards the end of the show she was on once a week.
My personal beliefs as a Christian would not give any credence to anything these people say.
I do this with reservations because I know the limits but if you are really interested get a deck and do your own reading. Tarot is a good place to start the catch is they will not tell you the future but should help you see it yourself.
I, too, believe most of these people are full of crap. However, at our company Christmas Party a few years back, we had two ladies who claimed to be psychics, I sat down with them and came back to the table in tears. Without my saying a word, one of the ladies said " Uncle john says it's alright." just about the time the other lady was chiming in " LynnAnn is with him and is happy." A few years back my Uncle Jack died on my hospital ward. The girls there had called me the night he died, my night off, to come and help calm him down. My huisband at the time, never told me they had called until after he died. I was sick with pnuemonia that night. I always felt horrible that I wasn't there when he died. LynnAnn was his retarded daughter. She was killed a few years later by a PAT bus. Uncle Jack's mom always, always called him John.
Now, were these ladies full of crap? Probably. But..... How did they know??
My mother and I went to a psychic together about 15-20 years ago for separate readings. I remember mine was ok, not memorable, but my mother's...WOW. A lot of it we couldn't place at the time, but in the end it was extrordinarily accurate. The thing I remember the most was that a red-haired woman woman was pretending to be her friend and on her side, but was going to betray her, and could cost my mother everything. We thought it had to be that my dad was going to meet this woman and cheat or something, since none of my mom's friends fit the description. My father was highly offended! About a year later, things began to go wrong in their previously successful business. There were a lot of advisors up and down the franchise chain, all very encouraging and supportive, and my parents ended up taking a supposed guaranteed success of a different kind of store model. It was a disaster, and they couldn't figure out what had happened. Well, a franchise consultant my mom worked with very closely with, trusted and considered a friend, deliberately juggled the numbers for failure b/c she wanted someone else to get the franchise. And, she was a Lucille Ball redhead. They had actually known each other at the time of the reading, but my mom didn't think to look too far outside her own circle.
And, BTW, in the end, my parents chose to do so, but they did lose their business. And my mom and I are now both redheads...However, we use our power for good, not evil, LOL!!!
And, a psychic told me that a friend of mine had not committed suicide, that it was an accident, which was later verified, and all of the details she gave me were correct. It was incredible.

During my many years in this world I have never known any kind of peace or comfort.
Mine is a life of nothing but extreme bad luck and bad decisions.
I've never known any type of success. Some say the greater the suffering the greater the reward.
If that's true I'll be getting a mansion on the other side that will rival the big guy's himself.

Theres a school in Berkely I went to with a close friend to get my life/future read. Its like 100 bucks to get your stuff done. Its all by student who think they have the gift. They are instructed on how to perfect it. I tried to be real vague when they start asking questions and going through the song and dance. I didnt give direct answers, and they were way off. I dont believe in psychics, they are scams.
I really did not believe in this stuff until I had a reading done by a psychic in Sedona, AZ a few years ago. With no words exchanged whatsoever, she took my hand and was able to tell me my specific profession, the fact that I hated my career and an accurate prediction that it would soon be in the past, my health concerns to the letter (every one of them)...THEN she made future predictions, every single one of them came true within 6 months (which she also predicted)--and there were several. Also, she told me that I hated (rather was terrified by) horses, which is bizarre because I love animals, all except horses. She told me (this was while she was feeling my spine) that I had been a horse wrangler in a previous life and had been trampled to death. She said to follow my instincts and stay away from them--which I have except for one instance in Yosemite, I was on a trail horse which threw me and then tried its' best to trample me. Trust me, I'll never be within 50 feet of a horse again as long as I live.
All of this was recorded on tape and when I listen to the session now--well, it is AMAZING that it was so accurate to the smallest detail. I don't know about most of them, but that lady had the gift, plain and simple and no doubt about it whatsoever.
