Gosh. This was a surprise but then again she didn't look well when she starred in that Logo series Sordid Lives. She was a great talent. Pretty soon the Golden Girls will be just a memory. That show was one of the best in a long time and the first to feature older, single women in an ensemble cast. They played well off each other...RIP, Rue!

Although I know that it shouldn't be a surprise when a star of Rues' age to pass, this caught me off guard even knowing of her recent health issues. Have to agree with some of the other posters, poor Betty White must be freaking out being the last GG standing. I wish her well.

this is terrible 3 years in a row we've lost 3 Golden Girls Estelle Getty in 2008, Bea Arthur in 2009, now Rue in 2010. I hope Betty White survives 2011. and this year too.

Haven't been on in a while, but had to comment on this one, how sad!!! That is still one of my favorite shows, and I had been reading her book "My first five husbands", how sad...I am shocked how quickly all these talented ladies have been going in recent years, seems we lose one a year.
