Nick Cage - Arrested For Domestic Abuse

In custody: The Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office released this booking photo, taken this morning after Nicholas Cage was arrested

Police in New Orleans Louisiana have taken Oscar-winning actor Nicholas cage into custody after what they describe and a 'public fight' with his wife Alice Kim. According to the Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office, the 47-year-old actor was arrested early this morning, after witness saw him 'arguing with his wife' on the streets of New Orleans. On-lookers even told officers they saw Cage 'push' Alice during the alleged dispute.
A police statement goes on to describe the incident saying Cage 'and his wife were standing in front of a residence that he insisted was the property the couple was renting. She disagreed, and Cage grabbed her by the upper arm and pulled her to what he believed was the correct address.' A few minutes later, as the actor tried to get into a taxi, concerned onlookers flagged down a passing police car. An officer drove up on the couple, and later wrote in his report that he 'immediately observed that Cage was heavily intoxicated, and ordered him out of the cab.' At that point, Cage is alleged to have started 'arguing with the officer,' who responded by taking him into custody. Cage has been charged with one count of domestic violence and one count of public drunkenness.

    Cage Caged!

Evidently, Cage was taunting the police, saying "Why don't you arrest me then?!"
    They did

He's not bad in some films, but can be annoying to listen to, due to it sounding like there's a problem with his adenoids!

"one count of public drunkenness." In New Orleans ??? Anybody else think that's a little rich? The other thing that occurrs to me is that he must have been exercising a little restraint... with those muscles, he probably could have thrown her over the house if he wanted to. He was once one of my favorite actors, but he really started to slip in my book when he married LM Presley...

Public drunkenness and domestic violence. Of course they should arrest him and charge him for both. One is a bit more severe than the other but both are a crime apparently. Im sure they enforce the drunkenness one more leniently and with considerable discretion there, but if you assault someone while drunk then the two go hand in hand and the 2 together are more likely to stand in any court. Also if you assault someone in public while drunk you deserve to have every possible charge brought against you.

His Insurance Company had already paid him for the theft of the comic so the comic is legally their's/the Insurance Company's.

Why is it that stars that I liked years ago (Tom Cruise, Mel Gibson, Charlie Sheen, and Nicholas Cage) have all turned out to be nuttier than squirrel shit?! There is no one sane left to watch!

Heh, Heh, Heh ... perfect picture for him.

I enjoyed his performance in the Ridley Scott film, Matchstick Men.

I know someone who was in his employ for several years. Cage has a long history of alcohol abuse.

Okay yeah I'll give it to ya that naming his child Kal-El is a bit weird but I gotta say alot of celebrities do, Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin named their children Moses and Apple granted those names are as odd as Kal-El but come on celebrities are known for their odd names and so are everyday regular people if everyone was "normal" the world would be a very boring place

    The man is a vampire

    Boogity boogity boo

Just in time for All Hallow's Eve my fellow Death Hags

    http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/new...to-sale-236543

    Snip

An 1870s photo depicting a Tennessee man with a strong resemblance to the Oscar-winning actor is on sale. The seller claims Cage is a vampire.
    Snip

But the photo currently on sale on eBay may top them all. Described by its seller as a photo of a Tennessee man circa 1870, the headline on the sale is "Nicolas Cage is a Vampire."

This is a cool thread, I like Nic cage. National Treasure movies were such great family movies, kinda like Indiana Jones and the DaVinci code rolled into one.
Btw, This new find reminds me of the Twilight Zone episode" Long Live Walter Jameson" Kevin McCarthy plays a modern day proffesor, Then someone recognizes him in a Civil war photo. Very cool!

Nick Cage was the subject of the "Not My Job" segment of NPR's "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me" this weekend.

Primatologist Dame Jane Goodall, Ph.D. (yes, that Jane Goodall) proved she knows considerably more about apes than she does about Nicholas Cage.

Come to think of it, Nick does sometimes have a sort of "missing link" look about him.

Gee, I heard the same story.
Only it wasn't Nicholas Cage, it was Danny Devito.
And it wasn't a snowboarding accident - he was zorbing where he shouldn't have been and suffered a fatal fall into the crevasse of Kim Kardashian's ass.

I don't know why anyone would make this up.

I don't think it's crazy, that he is getting married again for the 5th time, I mean Elizabeth Taylor was married 9 times, well eight, she married the same man twice.

I could care less how many times he gets married. Watching him do some of the films he has done in the past few years is just painful. What happened Nick?

I thought he was great as the bizarre yet believable rabid Elvis fan in Wild at Heart with Laura Dern. I also liked one of his first action movies, but I don't remember what it was. It came out in the '80s or '90s.
