It's fairly hard to get a "GOOD condition" Mrs. Beasley doll on E-Bay. They get a fortune for them. I keep watching them, and the bidding gets so high that I have to give up. I'm going to keep at it though, I WANT THAT DOLL !!!! LOL.

Don't think I haven't been tempted. She just meant so much to me as a kid that I don't know if I could ever sell her !

I thought he must have some medical issue that makes him look so bloated?

Poor Anissa, such a short, sad life. Weird there aren't more post-Family Affair pictures of her out there. The one on her FAD page doesn't even really look like her, and the ones on google are all blurry and/or grainy.

p.s. I can't believe how many of you had a Mrs. Beasley doll! She never did a thing for me, personally.

I remember hearing about AnEEsa Jones...this was back in the early 90s, when FX was an old school show channel and they'd have A Family Affair on...my mom told me about it. I was very sad.

Aneesa Jones (Family Affair) Autopsy Report..

I'm not sure if an Aneesa Jones page exists (probably), but I created a new thread since this is dealing with the autopsy report, and discussion can be confined to that.

I want to make clear this came direct from the coroner and not Celebrity Collectibles, although I'm not sure they have this one. I also haven't included the full report. I've include the pages that are more understandable to the lay person.

You may have to copy the photo and then enlarge it on your computer.

This autopsy report is one of the more interesting ones I've read because it is very detailed. It would've been interesting to read the police reports and interviews but I don't believe those are public record. At least that it was I was told.

Scott if you disapprove of this posting please feel free to delete and my apologies in advance.

...ya, that's what I thought! I always loved the show "Family Affair" - it was so cheesy, but when you're a kid - you WANT to have a family like that! "Uncle Bill! Uncle Bill!"

Do you know if there is any photos anyone can get of her body before the autopsy? Is that considered a privacy thing?

If you go to this website
    http://www.franksreelreviews.com/sho...nissajones.htm

and scroll to the bottom of the page they have a photo of Anissa supposedly the day before she died..

This is another website.. that is very good and has some photos most likely they came from her Mom or close friends.. The photo album is located towards the top.
    http://www.tyler.net/tambbs/anissa.htm

I wrote the guy who owns the second website some time ago, and here's what he replied..

    "
Thanks for your kind words. I did not know Anissa personally. I started the website a few years ago at the request of friends who loved Family Affair. I liked it, too, and was greatly saddened when Anissa died. I thought if I started a site about her, people who were close to her would contact me and send me stuff---and they did! That’s how I acquired much of the information about her. I had a chance to meet her mother a couple of summers ago but could not go to California. At any rate, thanks again for your kind words. **Gary Hunter**"

    And...

    "
]No, I have never spoken directly to her mother. Yes, she, indirectly, has sent me some personal pics of Anissa through a mutual contact. I had an opportunity to meet her a couple summers ago but I was not able to make the cross-country trek to California from Texas. As for friends of Anissa, she (Anissa) was acquainted with fellow child-actress Dawn Lyn (who played in the “Walking Tall” movies and “My Three Sons” and made appearances on “Bonanza,” “Gunsmoke” and others). Dawn Lyn contacted me by email and we conversed a few times. She described Anissa pretty much the way she is described on the website.

As for Anissa’s death being troubling, you’re not alone. At the time of “Family Affair” I would not describe myself as a huge fan of hers, but I did like her character and definitely knew who she was and when she died I was very saddened. She was one of the first young stars (during my time) to die very young and I just didn’t understand how it could happen to someone that had everything going for her that I thought she did. As for the website, to tell you the truth I don’t remember exactly what it was that inspired me to post it. It’s been up for several years, now. I need to adapt the new photos her mother sent me and post some of them in place of the grainy ones that are on the sight. Her mother gave me permission to post certain ones, but I haven’t gotten around to it due to webspace limits and time constraints.
[SIZE=2] Best wishes to you and thanks for visiting the site. "

supposedly this is the picture that was taken the day before she died.
Looking at this photo it does appear that she is very skinny, so maybe it is.

    Anissa

I was saddened to hear of her death. I had a crush on her when I was a kid. I thought she was so pretty. I still do. Too bad she got mixed up with the wrong crowd. I bought some rare photos on EBay a while back that has never been published before. Some shots were the Buffy collection she modeled. And one personal photo of her in a skimpy bikini around the age of 13.

I can't believe that she was 18 and weighed 81 pounds and was 4'9" tall. That is like a 5th grader.

I loved that show. Buffy was my idol. We were about the same age.

I CANNOT believe I am about to admit this (something I never, ever tell people):
At the age of 5 I was runner up in a Buffy look-a-like contest in our town. I won a wardrobe of Winnie the Pooh clothes from Sears.

And that, it seems, was my 15 minutes of local celebrity.

This is such a tragic story. I heard it was one of the worst overdose cases. I read that Anissa's mother asked Kathy Garver who played her sister Cissy to spend some time with her before she died. Kathy loved Anissa like a sister. Kathy then had to go somewhere to do an acting job and told Anissa she would see her when she came back, but she died and Kathy was heart broken.

In the older pics of Anissa she reminds me a bit of Bernadette Peters.

There is no evidence that Johnny Whitaker was ever involved in drugs or illicit porn, this is all just a made up rumor, the same as Kathy Garver being Paris Hilton's mom.

As for Anissa, I was in complete shock that she ended up this way, I also grew up watching "Buffy & Jody" as I called them back then. It sounds to me that Momma wasn't done making $$$ off of her, and had her arrested several times, until she turned of age. Had she lived, I'm sure she would have turned up on "The Love Boat","Murder, She Wrote" and "Law & Order".

Yes the Whitaker/Garver thing was a made up rumor. Actually had the chance to meet both some years back in Virginia. Both are very religious.

Not sure if had she lived Jones would had turned up on shows such as The Love Boat though. Many years ago E! had done one of those "True Hollywood Stories" on Anissa Jones. Haven't seen the tape in ages but for some reason I do remember it was mentioned that after once Family Affair had ended she no longer wanted to have anything to do with the entertainment biz..at all. Reading her credit on IMDB..looks like she had her wish since Family Affair was the last thing she ever did.

Yes, some people are under 5 feet tall when they are fully-functioning adults. Go figure.
