Well pardon the hell out of me for having an opinion you don't happen to agree withIt's just an internet forum, honey, no need to get all huffy

I'm not normally much of a dread person, but I liked them on Layne a little. I prefer his hair long and un-dreaded though. I also liked his hair short.
Love the pic with the guitar. I don't remember seeing that one before.
hair is hair really doesn't matter 2 me haha!![]()
It doesn't really matter to me either I don't guess. Now the rest of him, matters! LOL
I just wish there wassome new info on him out there somewhere.
Just a reminder folks...
Disagreeing with eachother is fine. Personal attacks, whether that be through posts on the forum, pm's, profile messages, etc., are not. And please remember to follow the forum rules.
Thanks.
.
I agree and respect you for that. Thanks for the reminder.

Tanya Vece is a boob lol
Yeah, Michi! I do see what you are talking about....he does have a Layne-look about him, especially if Layne had gotten older. Nice observation!
Back to Layne, please. If you want to talk about Tim Hawkins, start a thread about him in Entertainment. Thanks guys/gals!

Thanks for the link. I don't know where I was in the 90's I remember hearing the name of the band but not hearing the name of their songs. Layne did have a great voice. Now I have to google to find out what happened to Jerry.
There's a good amount out there to find, that's for sure! If you're interested, go to YouTube and type in Jerry Cantrell; some great solo work by him should pop right up. If you'd like to hear more of Layne, check out the stuff he did with Mad Season (it was a side-project Layne was part of in 1995). The whole feel of the album is quite different from anything of AIC's and since the lyrics to every song were written by Layne (with one exception), it also gets pretty autobiographical where he's concerned, as well as showing some different facets of his singing style. Don't know what your overall musical tastes are, but give these a listen. I'd love to hear what you think of it!![]()
Man this thread is dying![]()

Actually, you can post whatever you want as long a) it's on topic and b) doesn't violate the forum rules.

I wonder what Layne was wearing the day he died. Since he didn't leave the house towards the end of his life, I wonder if he bothered to put on something decent on a day-to-day basis. I'm sure it was the same outfit for a few days in a row.
I like this video with Layne:

Come on the kiss is cute, right?![]()
the kiss is cute. I've always liked that video.
Gosh...this thread is dying a slow death. It was white-hot, now it's just fading away. Sort of like Layne. While I mean this with respect, it is kind of ironic.
Sad it is, KCBee, but what are ya gonna do? It's sure not for lack of trying![]()
Don't worry y'all, Layne will live on forever!![]()
Layne's smile makes me smile.
More![]()
I'm done after this set. Promise.
No, don't be done! Those are all greatI love his grin too, it was just so impish, like he was up to something

What a great way to start a day! Thanks for the smiling pics.
The thread was rich because of all those talks around Layne, the same talks some people here say are off topic or just boring. The "tough love" moderation style scared or banned most of those, who could really share smth. new in here. Now itˇs gone, just like Layne, and like how someone said earlier..ironic it is. (8
"Whatever dramas are going on in my life, I always find that place inside my head where I see myself as the cleanest, tallest, strongest, wisest person that I can be." --Layne Staley
^^ I love that quote! Here's a couple more good ones:
"I sing like a lark."
and from Unplugged: "I wish I could just hug you all, but I'm not gonna."
Such a cheeky monkey he was
That's great!! Did you get it from the Layne Staley Fund? Hehe, I wonder what Layne would think of his image being on a tote bag or some of the other more odd stuff (like belt buckles) that's out there?
Nah the fund don't do bags Ebay's where i got it from
I think I may have a topic to spark this thread up again.......I'm hoping it hasnt been posted already........ready......here goes......
Is anyone else excited that Mike Starr is going to be on the VH1 show "celebrity rehab?" The show starts tonight and I am almost certain that Mike will talk about his time with Chains and ultimatelly his time with Layne!! Is anyone else entrigued to see this show and hopefully get a better view behind the scenes of the often veiled history of Alice in Chains......?? Thread on !!
And for those who have not heard the rumors of Mike Starr, he was supposedly with Layne the night that he died. Allegedly they were both hanging out and partying and celebrating Mike Starrs birthday which eerily falls on April 4th (the day before the coroners report of when Layne died approximatelly).
I'm anxious to see if he talks about Layne, but I don't think he will. I definitely don't think he would admit to being there the night Layne died. But I've been wrong before.
