Thread: Gas prices where you live

  1. #351
    Mrs. Watson Guest
    $4.19 this weekend in Indy.
$4.00.9 today in the sketchy neighborhood near the airport

Why isn't there a revolution about this? It's CRAZY. I remember putting five bucks in my '69 Camaro in high school and driving for a week.

My husband has been bike shopping (motorcycle) for the past month. All the good deals are snapped up instantly. Lots of bikes in Indy.

I walk a lot of places, put my daughter in the bike trailer, go to the library, etc. Carpool to food shop with my neighbor.

We passed by our usual station today and saw it's at $4.43 and holding. I don't want to jinx it so I won't call it a miracle that it hasn't gone up since we stopped there last week.

Wow! This thread started in November and average price was around $3.11 a gallon. Little over six months and the price has increased by 30%!!!!!!!!!!!! I expect the shit to hit the fan soon.

Thats a good price. Probably shitty gas though. I never go to places like that to fuel up.

Again, not sure what it equates to in US$ per gallon, but where I am, regular unleaded is selling for $1.72au per litre.
Either way you slice it, that's bloody expensive!

This was just published up here. Pretty ugly news for Americans, if it comes true (and not much better for us):

They've been down this week, 3.89! I hate that different prices for cash & credit & then there's the ones that discount gas with a carwash.......I'll probably have an accident just trying to read the fine print on the signs!

What got me was that within an hour of Bush lifting the ban on offshore drilling , the cost of gas went down in some cases as much as 15 cents. And im in California where everything costs more then anywhere in the country

I'm in Anderson, SC on business and I paid I kid you not, $3.71 today. SC may be a shithole, (sorry SC people), but they have the cheapest gas I've seen.

Spent the last week driving the length of California on the I-5. Roughly from LA to Redding.
Gas prices varied from $3.85 to $4.79 a gallon for regular.
No rhyme or reason as to why the differences in price.
