Thread: Gas prices where you live

  1. #251
Right now we use 2 vehicles. Fill one up every week and the other every 1 & 1/2 - 2 weeks. Regular here is right around 4.00 a gallon. Only to go higher. I don't complain though. Won't do me any good.

Just under $4 for regular when I gassed up today. This whole gas thing is such a bugger. I even had to turn don a part time job offer since it was only going to pay for gas. I used to love to wander, and didn't have the time since I worked. Now that I have the time I don't have the money for gas

Here in my part of Saskatchewan, we are paying $1.31 a liter which works out to about $5.24 a gallon. Hubby and I both drive trucks. Mines a gas and his is a diesel. Diesel is even more than gas which is bullshit since it cost's less to process it!

Ich-- I'm with ya. In my small town I see them on a daily basis! I know exactly what you are talking about! AND...they can't stay in their lane because they can't drive the big tanks, much less talk on the cell phone at the same time.

I can't do litre to gallon conversions, so not sure exactly what it equates to that way, but petrol here costs anywhere over 1.69au a litre at the moment.
Public transport here where I am is almost non-existant, so we're being squeezed everywhere it hurts at the moment, drought, fuel and food.

    We're $3.90 - $4.10, for 87, depending on which side of town you're on.

I ride a motorcycle whenever I can. We are not taking any vacations this year (going anyplace, that is). We've cut back dramatically on eating out, and we don't make any unnecessary trips.

This may sound stupid, ok, it is kinda stupid. I once heard about this effort back when gas prices started to climb that is everyone quit bying gas for one day, they could fill up the day before or after, The gass prices would drop. What is that about?

    Ooops!

    Dear Mr. President,

This is what I HAD to pay for gas today in Malibu California. This is really starting to cut into my budget, it has gotten to the point where I can't go to the nudie bar as much as I would like. The strippers look at me funny when I put quarters out. Please help us, we don't want a bunch of unemployed strippers running around now do we?

Between $3.80 and $3.96 per gal (near Carrollton, Georgia) depending on whether I get gas near my house or my job. Public transportation is not an option, unfortunately. I have suggested that we get a scooter for my husband, we're only 15 mins away from his job. I don't think he'd go for it, though. I definitely run all of my errands on the same day and I am taking fewer trips to visit my folks, who live about an hour away. Well, that's my excuse anyway.

How much did you pay for gas...

...the last time you filled your tank?

I'm driving my beloved late MIL's old Caddy, it takes Premium (91% Octane or it coughs and sputters) and I paid $4.75 a gallon. The pump automatically stopped filling at $75, I guess that's how much they will let you spend when you are using an ATM/Debit card. My poor husband is driving an Expedition and when you fill its tank, it costs well over $100.

This is so sad, our summer is going to be a drag. We live in the LA area and usually head to the Colorado River for a week or so (my two adult step-sons and nephew all have boats and pretty much live there July and August). But dang, the cost of towing the boat and the cost of fuel for the boat itself would be almost $2,000 per boat for a long weekend. It's such a shame because the boats cost anywhere from $125,000 to $200,000 (I am so naive, I had no idea they cost that much) and my family is pretty much moth-balling them this year. At a car repair shop near our house, someone is selling a late-model Escalade for $10,000!!! Can you believe it???

I hope whoever is making the gazillion $$$ over this will spend a nice toasty time in Hell someday. This is so sickening!!!

Usually Visa stops at $50 and Mastercards stop at $75. I saw that gas went up here 11 cents yesterday up to $3.89.

About $30 @ $3.83/gal to fill my little Toyota Echo. I can go for almost two weeks on a full tank - back and forth to work each day (26 miles round trip), plus any running around I do on the weekends. Great gas mileage!

    Why own a gas guzzler???

$4.69 for premium and $4.76 for Diesel here in Florida. I wish they would post the exact amount of tax we're paying per gallon on the pump. If I'm going to get raped each time I fill up, I would like to know who's banging me the hardest, US Govt, State and local or OPEC.
