Sorry to everyone who would disagree, probably everyone ,here but he was no Belushi as far as i could see!
Actually I think the absolute opposite of Chris Farley and John Belushi. I always thought you needed to be a stoner to find John Belushi funny. But consider that I wasn't born until 1982 so it's a different world to me.

his death pics were horrible, can you imagine finding your brother dead and in that kind of state? It's very sad

yeah, they might be some of the worst pics I looked at on the site. I had a hard time with those. Anyway, not the biggest Farley fan, but I got to say he did a decent job with David Spade.

I've never really been that bothered by Farley's death pics. I mean, other than the foamy crap around his mouth/nose they weren't all that gruesome compared to many death pics.

A friend of mine went to high school with Chris Farley (in Florida). She said he was nice and not a total goof ball like you would expect. She saw him a few times after he got on to SNL (but before the movies) visiting his family and said that he had not changed at all. Just sad.

I love that scene!! Chris was amazing. I crack up when I watch his SNL skits. My favortie character he played on SNL was that motivational speaker dude. Hilarious.

And yes, he would have been great as Shrek.

Maybe it was just coincidence that they went to school with someone named Chris Farley.

I, too, was never a Chris Farley fan (or SNL fan, for that matter) but I got a chance to meet him a couple of years before he died when he came here to Hilton Head Island to attend a "fat-farm" that is here on the island. I met him in a local bar and he was incredibly nice. There was obviously a large group of people around him and he talked and bought beers for just about everyone. He was just a very down-to-earth- nice guy. I have heard others say the same thing about him as well. I am sure he will be missed by his fans, which are a large number.

And I still hear about how despondent his family was over his drug use. I just don't understand why they didn't do more to help him when they could. I mean, what about Lorne Micheals? Wasn't it bad enough to see Jim Belushi burn out the same way?

You can help somebody all you can but unless they want to help themselves nothing is going to change.

I was always afraid to look at these pictures because I had heard they were so bad. Now after reading this thread I looked and they weren't as bad as I had built them up to be in my mind.
Also, I'm new here. Welcome to everyone, it's nice to meet me.

Although I have only Kentucky to compare it to in the category of "States in which I Have Lived" I'd say Georgia is definitely a place I would miss if I had to go away. Where did you grow up?

I'm curious as to what those are on the left in the second death picture. used napkins? With the brownish residue? Is it blood? Something else?

It seems he was incredibly needy and I found his humor very unfunny yet he was huge in more ways than one! Is it because people missed Belushi so much? At least Belushi was brilliant!
The death photos dont seem surreal at all they appear incredibly real. That's what is so shocking about them!

i'd be ashamed of myself if the only thing i was remembered for were some disgusting pictures of me with foam coming out of my mouth. he had choice, and he chose to throw it all away and not receive help for his emotional dilemmas or his drug addiction. thus, the foam, and our memories of the foam, now and forever. thank god he had no kids to remember the foam. ugh. poor man nothing, irresponsible as all the drug junkies of the world. get some help!!!!!!!!

I don't know if this is a real photo of Anna Nicole in a body bag.
Scott maybe you know the answer. I've heard it's real and then again I've heard it's been photoshopped. Thanks!

Really? My mother had been dead for 24 hours when she was found. There was no odor or problem. She just looked like she was sleeping. I guess I was lucky with that one.

Self-pity is a bitch. It keeps you sick and unwilling to accept help. Only when one gets to the bottom where self-pity is cast aside and willingness comes do we move forward rather then spin our wheels.

Thank Jesus I chose to move forward almost 18 years ago. That coulda been me.

I find absolutely NO loss in his his death. He had no talent, was merely an SNL-hanger on, and when you play with drugs and booze, there will be consequences somewhere along the line!

    Chris Farley...gone 10 years today!

What a loss... Chris was such a comedic talent. I remember the day he died and hoping (praying!) it wasn't from drugs, but alas...

Chris passed away 10 years ago today. I heard that David Spade, Dennis Miller and others were planning a quiet, private memorial service somewhere.

He was one of the funniest people on the planet. I do miss him! Anyone else? What was your favorite Farley bit?

Mine was his commercial parody (along with Adam Sandler) called "Schmitt's Gay".

Damn, and I just watched him on Jay Leno last week (they've been showing old episodes since the writer's strike). Chris was honestly my favorite comic actor at the time of his death, a true loss.
