Most horrible dead photos on the FAD website...really gross. Sad too as he is clutching a rosary-he knew he was dying poor guy

The rosary always got to me. As you've stated he must've known it was coming. He was a very funny guy. It's sad to know how he went out.

*SOS* going out to you SNL/Chris Farley fans: Can you help me find a link to the skit where Farley is in a recording studio as Hank Williams Jr., with a bottle of Jack Daniels, unsuccessfully warbling through the NFL theme song? "Ahh yew reddy fuh thah fuuuut-BAWWWWWWWWWWWWWLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!"...

    1. I've never seen it, only heard about it second-hand (and it sounds too good to miss).
    2. I've searched the SNL/NBC skit website with no luck.
    3. I'm super into the search, now that football season is in full swing.

Thanks in advance for your help!!

Never heard of it but I'll look. Chris was just great; and just tragic. I don't expect to have greater success in finding it than you; in spite of my hacker network.

Weird. The only thing I found was a 7 second clip on youtube.

It's supposed to be on episode 4 of Season 23, (October 25, 1997) but it isn't on the episode Netflix has available for streaming. I wonder if Monday Night Football didn't get pissed and make SNL pull it.

is this the one you are talking about? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pgRtrPU7K94
I think it was part of a skit involving the bears fans played by Farley, Mike Myers, and George Wendt. If I remember right, the hank Williams piece was a flashback concerning how the NFL brought in Jr as a good luck charm for the Bears. lol I could be completely wrong but it was something like that.

Thanks, Jim! ITA that Farley was a great and tragic character.

Bat!! Yes, that is it!!! I hope the whole skit shows up somewhere...although just that six-second clip is enough to make my week. Thank you!!!

Edit: I've watched it about 40 times
I just love it so much.
So now I'm noticing the finer details, such as:
    1. You can hear Farley's first step into the recording studio: sounds like he's wearing cowboy boots. A true method comic.
    2. Phil Hartman's face as he's walking behind Farley into the studio. Love his cowboy hat, but even more, love his smirk...I think it's out-of-character, meaning Farley was over-the-top improvising and cracked Hartman up. Made even funnier by the straight looks of dismay on the other three actors' faces.

On YouTube there is a clip of an interview with Heidi that also shows the pictures that ran in the Globe. I have to say that the picture she took of him sleeping/passed out/dying is a better one to have in my head than the dead pictures.
I have been looking for a video of the "Amish whore" skit but haven't found one. Does anyone know a link?

Try that search specifically using Google's video option.

Still looking for Hank Williams Jr. snippet, but in the meantime, found the SNL T-shirts...you can get a "DA BEARS", a Stefon, a Lonely Island "I'm On A Boat", a Hans und Franz...

Genius!! They were my two faves of that era. Sad to think about them no longer being here, especially the way they died.

Totally agree. I think their era had it rough to begin with, because so many people thought SNL sucked after the first cast left. (True...definitely some rough moments/skits/years...but now that SNL has made it about 40 years, I think people have come to terms with not comparing apples to oranges)
Really tragic how both Farley and Hartman died, and they both seemed like nice guys, the good guys, per se. Probably more tragic with Hartman, though - one could argue that Farley brought it on himself with his lifestyle, but Hartman's main mistake was loving a psycho I guess

I don't always enjoy when the comedians break character on SNL, but the classics (like Farley/Hartman), I just love that. Shows true talent, authenticity, and a form of love for one another as performers and people, IMO.

There is a profile on FB for a Heidi Hauser in Chicago.

I recently moved to Chicago, specifically Lincoln Park, and I'm wondering if there's been any information about where in Lincoln Park he was that night. Just to satisfy my inner death hag.

Also, in my recent internet searching, I found an excerpt from his brother's book where it indicated that someone else, NOT Chris, placed the rosary in his hand. His name is Ted Dondanville. Sorry if this has been mentioned earlier in the thread. https://books.google.ca/books?id=hVg...rosary&f=false

I have always wondered where the bloody tissues came from...perhaps his brother tried to clean him up?

I thought the second pic was the actress Amy Locane for a minute. I even had to check it up as they look alike.

She was on the front of the Enquirer after it happened. I think she sold the pictures as they were the ones of him holding her, the picture of him on the ground sleeping and on the phone IIRC.

There was also a piece in the Globe in 2018 when she talked about it but I don't know if was an actual interview or old stuff cobbled together. She claims he tried to do a pratfall but fell on his back and started snoring. She got bored and left after leaving a note, taking the picture of him 'sleeping' and bending down to kiss him.

Bur didn't she also say, she was leaving and he said don't leave me. I didn't see any of the news articles are anything when he passed just Chris Farley dead at whatever age on the news.

I think it was when she talked to Globe (not the Enquirer which I first thought) and gave them the pictures that she made the claim but I'm honestly not sure.
