I keep thinking about her documentary and the scenes from Christmas 2008. She was tired more than usual and had to sit down and take breaks. She loved to bake those Christmas pies. She died 6 months to the day later.

I thought it would also be educational to find out what are the risks factors for the type of cancer she had. This was never really discussed.

    I got this from WIKIPEDIA.org.
Many, if not most, anal cancers derive from human papillomavirus infections, and since the HPV vaccine prevents infection by some strains of the virus and has been shown to reduce the incidence of potentially precancerous lesions, scientists surmise that HPV vaccination may reduce the incidence of anal cancer

Also a factor is benign lesion like hemmoroids.

Even if this is not how she got her cancer. I might have been helpful to point this out in her documentary.

This is the same type of cancer (papillomavirus) that can cause cervical cancer. So without getting all gross about sexual activity, maybe it was some type of cancer cells that were always there within the reproductive system.

Last time Ryan saw Griffin, Ryan tried to shoot him. They got into some fight. Griffin married Farrah's assistant and they have a child together. Ryan never saw this grandchild. They said they tried to e-mail pictures of the baby to Farrah and they hope she saw them. Giriffin said in an interview weeks ago that he was going to the funeral and taking body guard. There was another incident years ago when Ryan knock out Griffin's front teeth.

Wow I wouldn't have know that had I not read that.

I don't think Ryan O'Neal was good for her. Has anyone noticed the change in Farrah? If you can locate it watch the first Barbara Walters interview of Farrah just after she left Lee Majors and had just taken up with Ryan. Farrah looked young and fantastic. Only 3 years later Barbara Walters once again interviewed Farrah and she aged tremendously IN ONLY 3 YEARS!
To me this say loads about that relationship.

Did anyone happen to catch "The Burning Bed" on the Encore Drama channel last night (6/30/09)? I don't see it listed again on their site and a search garnered no results. I suspect they will run it again so I suggest checking the programming grid on screen daily.

Griffin's mother was on some pretty heavy drugs when she was pregnant with him. This left him with terrible mood swings and eventually he also has a drug problem. It seems like Griffin's problems growing up required more attention then a drug addict mother and a father who was off making movies.

I think the problem Ryan had with Griffin attending the funeral is because he blamed Griffin for the incident where Ryan shot a gun on Griffin. Ryan said Griffin started it first by threatening Ryan with a fire place poker.

Griffin's wife currently works so I don't know how dependent Griffin is on Ryan.

I hope Farrah spell out in her will how Redmond will be handled. To have him totally dependent on Ryan would be a disaster.

Almost to the point of not caring if Ryan has a wedding ring or if Griffin was let in or not........almost. Off to drag out the magnifying glass and get a better look at CB's vids.

Ryan O'Neal Bans Eldest Son From Farrah's Funeral

The long time lover and friend of the late Farrah Fawcett revealed that his estranged son, Griffin O'Neal, was turned away from the funeral of the iconic beauty on Tuesday.
Even though Griffin drove 300 miles to pay his respects, Ryan O'Neal specifically requested his son be banned from the funeral.
When asked about his reasoning, Ryan would only suggest that his son is a "bad guy."
Despite his father's intentions, Griffin believes that Farrah would be upset to know he wasn't allowed to attend her funeral/
â??Sheâ??s mad right now that Iâ??m not in there," he said. "I just wanted to say goodbye to someone that I knew and loved for 33 years.â?
We can't blame Ryan. Why should he have to put up with his crazy son's bullshit on a day of mourning? Clearly, Griffin just wants some attention. Well, you got it.
    Now go away!

Yep, clearly his intent. The funeral was invitation only, so if he didn't have one, he should have respected his dad's wishes and stayed home!

Agreed. You don't make a scene like that at a funeral. If Ryan had any respect for Farrah, he'd have allowed Griffin to be there and behaved himself, and if Griffin did, he'd have stayed home and grieved privately when he found out he wasn't invited.

I would think Farrah would be mad too. I saw the picture of Griffin and his family standing outside. Griffin's wife is Farah's former assistant and the kid is Ryan's grandson. They drove 300 miles to get there.

This who can blame Ryan 'thing'.
Ryan was the one who tried to shoot his son. Then he tries to blame that on Griffin.

And this 'Clearly Griffin is looking for attention'.

Ryan shows up with a wedding ring on his finger and was a palllbearer.

I really think that Redmond has to find some independence from Ryan. I believe if this doesn't happen that Redmond will never get better.

Did anyone see Entertainment tonight this evening? They showed the funeral then next they showed Ryan going to dinner after the funeral with a young brunette they got into a limosine after the dinner; he answered questions about the funeral and then him and then woman bagan to kiss and the limo door was closed.

    WTF was THAT!!!!!!!!!!???????????

    I hope she haunts him.

he clearly wanted to marry her only for publicity and the wedding ring was part of the attention seeking as well.

I could I guess. I live just blocks from the Westwood Memorial Cemetery and work nearby. I'm not really into the celebrities. I think I've only been to Westwood Memorial Cemetery once in over 20 years since I lived there.

Ryan O'Neal must have a shitload of bad karma. He seems perpetually angry. You would think Leukemia might have mellowed the guy. Farrah Fawcett seemed whacked out in her own way but how could you live with such rage all the time. I think she had some real Man Issues. Her relationship with her father was a bit odd.

Ryan has been less then glowing when it came to the father department. Really, I think he could have set his differences aside for his son. But maybe he was afraid Griffin would have stirred up A big arguement. I guess father and son know each other best.

Does any one know if tatum was there??? I am sorry but i got to put my 2 cents in on the ryan and griffin issue,,, put the issue's aside for a couple of hours,, plus seeing griffin's son in the arms of her mother while griffin is talking on the phone with a sheriff's deputy standing there just broke my heart,,, gez this is ryan own grandson that he has never meet. As for the kissing of the brunette after the funeral made me realize what a scum bag he really is,, sitting there on tv crying about farrah, but yet on the night of her funeral out on the town,, this is my 2 cents,, i am glad farrah did not marry him,, sorry had to edit this i meant griffins son

RIP Farrah, I loved your movies and I loved your being human. I never met anyone who was perfect. I do love people who are real and that have imperfections. You fought a hard fight against a relentless disease but in the end you were the victor. Heaven awaits.....

I don't really think Griffin and his family drove 300 miles to pick a fight with Ryan. Ryan thinks everything is about Ryan. Griffin's wife worked for Farrah. All they wanted to do is pay their respects. Nobody said they all had to sit together. Like I said, Ryan was the one who pulled a gun and tried to shoot Griffin. Ryan made that remark dissing Griffin and calling him a bad guy after the funeral. Ryan can't put aside differences for a funeral.

We all have cancer cells inside of our bodies. We simply cannot figure out what makes them suddenly begin to begin reproducing out of control. If we could figure that out, we could put an end to cancer, sadly enough.
