I saw that story on my Newsfeed. I hope, and guess, not all frats pull this kind of crap. I am getting tired of hearing that word tied in with stupid and criminal acts. Hopefully they won't get one of those "boys will be boys" Judges. Whom are probably frat brats themselves.

Very sad but true.
It is a guarantee they knew who Emmett was and that's why they took the photo there. I've seen some try and make excuses saying they don't fully understand the situation but they are old enough to know it was a stupid idea but did it anyway. They knew it would get them attention which it has but in the end like so many before them, it's gonna blow up in their faces.

I always thought she admitted it way too late even though common thought at the time was better late than never. For who? He's dead because of her actions. She knew what environment she lived in and could get away with it. How she didn't wake up and throw up every day, I don't know.

It will be interesting to see if anything actually happens with this, especially since the DOJ closed the case in December 2021. In all likelihood they have to get a new warrant because it’s highly unlikely a judge would allow them to move forward with a warrant from 1955.
They could reopen it, citing the warrant as new evidence. I don’t know if the DA wants to go that route though. He basically referred to the DOJ remarks saying there was nothing to try.
