can you guys see him or is it just me?
I first noticed the head back in this thread. http://www.findadeath.com/forum/show...99&postcount=8

I don't think that it's JD. It might be his passenger.

Wow, that certainly looks like something Jessica. I am seeing two things though; between the guy in the black shirt's legs and right by it..you're speaking of the image by his leg right?

Good eye. I don't know but it definitely looks a head. Kind of eerie.

I don't want to make up things in my head but really, upon looking as close to the screen as I can, it really does look like hair and the features of a face.

hmm difficult to see. I am not sure. That does kinda resemble a head by the guy in the black pants right knee. I have seen this pic before but never noticed the heads. Just the car.

I'm sure it is his co-driver who was thrown clear from the wreck. Dean himself was pinned behind the wheel, his neck broken and with various other injuries. I've read more than a few times that pictures were taken of him at the wreck by a photographer friend (Sanford Roth?) who was travelling in another car behind them. They may've been taken as 'witness photographs'. Conflicting information states that the photos still exist or were destroyed by the photographer a few years later. Kenneth Anger also said that he was offered photographs of Dean in the morgue for his Hollywood Babylon 2 book but had to refuse as he wasn't willing/unable to pay the asking price.

Same here. I blew it up and it appears to be a man laying on his stomach. The hair seems too dark to be JD. Also, from the discriptions of the wreck that I've read, JD's face was pretty smashed up in the wreck. The face in the picture doesn't seem to be damaged.

    Ditto on the Scott resemblance.

And don't worry Jessica, who knows. Either way it's still a very good catch.

That's Dean's mechanic Rolf who was thrown from the car. Dean was trapped inside with a broken neck etc.

Same here, I'm all for seeing dead celebs in coffins or whatever, but not my Jimmy. I cannot see him in a coffin or the aftermath of the accident. It's weird for me to see the pic of him in the stretcher. I don't think pics of him in the car wreck exist. If they once did they were destroyed. From what I keep reading it was a horrible sight.

The picture everyone is talking about is not Jimmy. It does look like him in way. Maybe it's his ghost? However, his face would not look like that. He broke his neck and from what I've read from the people who saw him--- he has covered in blood.

^^ Yeah, I think the picture is Rolf, on the ground .. Jimmy was pretty much far beyond help when the ambulance finally arrived .. that looks like the guy is sort of propped up or holding himself up to me .. but same as MJD said, I couldn't look at Jimmy's pics and I too don't think they exist any longer ..

I'm so glad this thread popped up...... I was wondering if anyone could tell me the name of the JD movie with James Franco in it..................

I was literally just on youtube and was looking at Rebel and wanted to see the James Franco movie about JD's life..

    Anyone?

    Jessica,

That movie is just called James Dean .. it came out in 2001 ... http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0240628/

I loved that movie .. James Franco did such a fantastic job portraying Jimmie .. I was a huge fan of James Franco, but after that movie, I liked him even more .. you should definitely check it out .. I have seen clips of the movie on youtube as well .. I think my favorite part of the movie is when he plays Jimmie on the set of "Giant" (my fav. JD movie) .. anyway, hope this helps!

Would be cool if you knew it truly was the real thing. I could pick up a hunk of glass off the street and try to sell it as being from Jimmy's or any other stars crash. I don't want to sound rude to you for sure. but I am just allways suspicious of things like this.

I don't think you can? I always find it funny when people claim it came from Jimmy's spyder. I do wonder what the hell become of the ball of metal that was his car. I always find that to me so mysterious. I don't think we will ever know. :/

I'm sitting here looking over my James Dean 1950s collection that I bought off Ebay a few years back for 20 dollars. It was kept by a fan in 1950s and it has all sorts of Jimmy stuff from the 50s, even a ticket stub for East of Eden and the actual program! It's insane, this person kept a diary and documented each day after he died and how insane the press and people got. *sigh* The one that gets me is the PEOPLE Magazine that did the story on him before he died. I'm reading it now and I swear I get all misty eyed. The only magazine I own that was before he died. *sigh* Just came in to say that...

    I LOVE JIMMY!

This is so true. There are so many cool things on ebay that I would love to own, but I just don't know if they are truly authentic. Owning something that came from Jimmy or Marilyn? Sweet! I really want something that belonged to my dear Vivian Vance, and I have seen things on ebay that supposedly belonged to her, but I am leary....

    MJD,

I have that picture you posted above done in pencil by an artist .. it's hanging up in my "cocktail lounge" in my house .. That James Dean stuff you got off EBay sounds interesting!! James Dean is the only celeb I have ever really obsessed over (besides River) and I enjoy seeing that other people feel the same way!!

Yeah me too. I'm just all James Dean obsessed. I have tons of James Dean stuff. I have all the LIFE magazines about him after his death including the one that came out when he was still alive. The collection I got is WOAH -- I mean it has magazine clipping from the 50's and movie ticket stubs and 1950s Jimmy stickers. AMAZING -- that is the best thing I've bought on ebay lol One day I want to buy a James Dean drawing, his little doodles he used to make. I went to this major auction in San Francisco a few years back and someone auctioned one of his drawings. I was like DAMN IT I want it! But I was a poor college student with no chance in hell. *sigh*

There will never be another person like James Dean. He was truly a one of a kind!!!

I love that picture of him, I bet that drawing you have looks amazing!!

I've seen this before and it has some faults to it. First of all, it has been proven from looking at the position of the car and where his body ended that he was going around 55 mph. He was not speeding. After he died this went to court and Jimmy was found guilty for speeding. *sigh* I've seen the court documents and Turnupseed said he believed that Jimmy was doing between 100-140 miles per hour and that he did not see him. But he wasn't he was only going 55 mph and tried to slow down which is why Dean said "He has to see us." Turnupseed should have seen him but for whatever reason he didn't. I think he was just not paying attention and was listen to this game on the radio.

Anyway, I'm rambling lol. This book called "The Death of James Dean" is a very good book to read about all the events that lead to his death -- the court proceedings, and how they investigated the case after years of his death. The book is by Warren Newton Beath.

However, the whole thing about the car is just spooky especially what happened after the crash. That is a damn mystery to me. I want to know where the wrecked car is at?!?!?!

I figured the article wasn't completely factual, especially after I read the one on that site about the Black Dahlia. I don't know a hell of a lot about him, but I do her. Sloppy things that she could have researched, but she has some fabulous articles on her site.

Lot's of writers make Dean out to be so egomaniac that when he said "He has to see us," he just keeps on ripping. That never made sense to me. You don't say something like that a not start slowing down. And if he had been going 100 to 140 mph, Turnupspeed would highly likely have been killed as well. I mean, come on.

I had read about the mystery of the car, but not the version she wrote. Here's what I always heard http://www.snopes.com/autos/cursed/spyder.asp

I want to know more, too!

I also know I would still be a huge fan regardless of wether or not he died then or today!

I was going to bid on that piece of glass.. but before I did I emailed the seller to ask some questions very basic ones

how long have you owned the glass who did you purchase it from and is there any COA with the piece

I got no reply .. so I never bid.. he relisted that auction 2 mores times nobody bid..

me thinks.. like the last auction for a lock of jimmys hair (which turned out to be a scam) .. its a fake

which makes me mad.. because us jimmy fans could pass up one a real item.. just because we most likely believe its going to a a fake

I got a question to ask for the Women on here and please do not take this as condenssending. Awhile ago I went to this website on James Dean and I viewed a the guest book entrys and every woman on there was so positive and sure of James Deans heterosexuallity and would viciously attack if anyone even so much as spoke of his bisexuallity. I remember this one girl named Wendy who acted so authoritative on his sexuality but when questioned about her knowledge on it she flew apart on the questioner and said she met his dad and he denied it and his denial should be enough to settle the matter case closed. She also post these sweet little denials of his homosexuality on his F.A.G site. Find a grave actually spells fag lol sweet Jesus. Anyway this was the 30s 40s ect you dont come out to nobody back then especially your parents so it is possible that even his parents wouldn't have known right? But my real question I have is why the desperate need for him to be straight for some Women why is his sexuality so important to these people whats the big deal. He's dead its not like he is haveable. Im gay and he is beautiful to me but I dont get bent out of shape over his preferences it doesnt make him any less beautiful to me. Is there really any verifiable evidence of his sexuality. Are the rumors of his homosexuality just that rumors who started all of that. Are there any websites to go to that talk about his sexuality?

    Anyway thats all.

Im female and have been fascinated by him since I was 12yrs old then I didnt think about his sexuality just that he was sexy even to a young pre pubescent girl.
I always thought he was bi, I thought he was young, curious and very about living in the moment!
His sexuality never bothered me either way cus he was so incredibly attractive so to be attractive to both sexes is part of his overall appeal! It was never important to me as an admirer of James Dean what his sexuality was!
I think we feel his sexuality on the screen and interpret it in what ever way we want! Isnt that an amazing actors feat. Isnt that a part of his amazing appeal and connection with film and the audience!

There are plenty of books and references to his homosexuality and bi sexuality Opeth32!

I know the books I have them on my book shelf and one by Morrissey of the Smiths is a collectors item but if you like I can go and list them for you! There are others that say James Dean had homosexual relations with them but also there are many women who say they had relationships with him also!
As a fan and well read on Dean I don't know for sure he was gay! He seemed to love women Pier Angeli and Ursula Andress and others as well and men, He was 24 and lovely and I think he had choices only few of us could imagine!

Its not a problem for women in general as first and foremost in film he played a very hetro male (with issues?) I think women respond to him for his emotional depth in film and his beauty!

There are heaps of sites one in particular Ive forgotten where one guy talks of his affair with james dean!
Its not a new topic! Do you want us to get the sites for you ?
