Arthur Lee!!!
Arthur Lee!!!
Freddie and Queen.
Jim Morrison and Jimi Hendrix.
Johnny Cash
Freddie Mercury/Queen
Pantera with Dimebag, definitely. I had tickets to see them with Slayer on 14th September 2001 at Birmingham NIA in the West Midlands but sadly 9/11 happened and the gig was postponed. By the time the gig was re-arranged Pantera had dropped out. Slayer were awesome though!
Jeff and Buckley! Seriously Jeff Buckley
Singer/songwriter/piano/keyboard, Graham Bond, Graham Bond Organization. A great guy, incredible talent. Knew him well. tragic story. Google 'em.
So many to choose from...
Definitely my #1 choice:
AIC with Layne Staley DOB: 1967-08-22 - DOD: 2002-04-05
If I could pick others:
Kurt Cobain DOB: 1967-02-20 - DOD: 1994-04-05
Brad Nowell DOB: 1968-02-22 - DOD: 1996-05-25
Sid Vicious DOB: 1957-05-10 - DOD: 1979-02-02
possibly Jerry Garcia DOB: 1942-08-01 - DOD: 1995-08-09 and
Johnny Cash DOB: 1932-02-26 - DOD: 2003-07-12
In no particular order:
Michael Jackson
The Doors
Andy Gibb
Jimi Hendrix
Janis Joplin
Stevie Ray Vaughn
Nat King Cole baby. He could sing to me any day.
And I would have loved to see one of the Judy Garland "palace" spectaculars.
While only half the band is dead, this is easy for me. Definitely The Who while in their prime and with Keith and John. Just watching footage of their shows you can tell what an amazing live group they would have been, I can't imagine actually seeing them in concert.
Johnny Cash (fan all my life - never caught a concert!) and Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band WITH Clarence Clemons!!! I never went to many concerts when I was young, and I never did get to see Springsteen with The Big Man live...
Also would have loved to have seen Freddie Mercury - and, while we're at it, how about Freddy Fender (born Baldemar Huerta) - with or without The Texas Tornados!
Johnny Cash. Especially would have love to see him in the sixties when his guitarist Luther Perkins was still alive.
Cindy
Would of enjoyed seeing Marvin Gaye and
Tammi Terrell singing together.
Carolyn(1958-2009) always in my heart.
Oh, and I guess I should say Buddy Holly since I did originally sign up here to discuss him. Plus my user name comes from his song.
Type O Negative came to Atlanta not too long before Peter Steele died. I hate my self for not going.
Jim Morrison!

The Doors!!!!!!!!!
Albert Collins the Blues Singer comes to mind. His song "Too Many Dirty Dishes" remains one of my favorite songs of all time. He played near my house and for some reason I just didn't go - and he died within a year or so. God how I can kick myself for that one........
Beatles (saw Paul last summer...great show), The Doors, Carpenters, pre-crash Skynyrd, the Bee Gees, MJ, Laura Nyro, Mamas & Papas, Rick Nelson
OMG this man ROCKED!!! My friend and I saw him live at Fitzgerald's, a small venue here in Houston, and he was FANTASTIC!!! We sat right in front of the stage, met him after the show and partied with him and his band on the tour bus...incredible unforgettable experience!!!
Here is a song for you..."Master Charge (Bank Americard)"...

Laura Nyro
Laura Branigan! I would give anything to watch her belt out The Power of Love, Spanish Eddie, The Lucky One, Self Control, and Gloria! I would never forget that!
1) Stevie Ray Vaughn
2) Alice in Chains; when Mike Starr and Laney were still playing!
The Ramones- the original lineup with Joey, Johny, and Dee Dee. There's no stoppin' the cretins from hoppin'.
Roy Orbison, Harry Chapin, Jim Croce, Harry Nilsson, Dan Fogelberg, Jerry Garcia, Janis and Jimi.
Townes VanZandt
Pre-crash Lynyrd Skynyrd
The Band
Harry Chapin
Stan Rogers

Jon Nödtveidt from the Swedish black metal band Dissection. He committed suicide in 2006 and I didn't discover the band until 2007.
Peter Steele with Type O Negative, I found out about them after he died because my fiance was so surprised at his sudden death and dug out October Rust. God that album is amazing.
No-brainer, Mr. Jackson.
Kurt Cobain, Layne Staley and Ian Curtis, I was only 9 when Kurt died mmm...
We can add Amy Winehouse to this list I guess
Ohh, so many to choose from...
My top three, Sister Rosetta, Queen (with John Deacon and Freddie Mercury, not the bastard-son version with Paul Rogers) and Ari Up from The Slits. A beautiful, outrageous and talented lady - a genuine music legend.
Typical Girl by The Slits - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZyXGblps64M
Miss Chunk wishes she would have seen Mr. Barry White - fantastic Barry White while he was alive. God bless him!
"I guess every form of refuge has its price"...
The Clash, The Beatles, Phil Ochs, Dean Martin, Bon Scott AC/DC, The Who, Louis Prima,
