Pantera with Dimebag, definitely. I had tickets to see them with Slayer on 14th September 2001 at Birmingham NIA in the West Midlands but sadly 9/11 happened and the gig was postponed. By the time the gig was re-arranged Pantera had dropped out. Slayer were awesome though!

Nat King Cole baby. He could sing to me any day.

And I would have loved to see one of the Judy Garland "palace" spectaculars.

While only half the band is dead, this is easy for me. Definitely The Who while in their prime and with Keith and John. Just watching footage of their shows you can tell what an amazing live group they would have been, I can't imagine actually seeing them in concert.

Johnny Cash (fan all my life - never caught a concert!) and Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band WITH Clarence Clemons!!! I never went to many concerts when I was young, and I never did get to see Springsteen with The Big Man live...

Also would have loved to have seen Freddie Mercury - and, while we're at it, how about Freddy Fender (born Baldemar Huerta) - with or without The Texas Tornados!

Johnny Cash. Especially would have love to see him in the sixties when his guitarist Luther Perkins was still alive.

Oh, and I guess I should say Buddy Holly since I did originally sign up here to discuss him. Plus my user name comes from his song.

Albert Collins the Blues Singer comes to mind. His song "Too Many Dirty Dishes" remains one of my favorite songs of all time. He played near my house and for some reason I just didn't go - and he died within a year or so. God how I can kick myself for that one........

OMG this man ROCKED!!! My friend and I saw him live at Fitzgerald's, a small venue here in Houston, and he was FANTASTIC!!! We sat right in front of the stage, met him after the show and partied with him and his band on the tour bus...incredible unforgettable experience!!!

Here is a song for you..."Master Charge (Bank Americard)"...

YES! I saw Levon Helm a few years ago and that alone was the single best musical experience of my life. And he's in his 70's and suffered throat cancer. I can't even begin to imagine what seeing The Band back in their prime would have been.

Jon Nödtveidt from the Swedish black metal band Dissection. He committed suicide in 2006 and I didn't discover the band until 2007.

Peter Steele with Type O Negative, I found out about them after he died because my fiance was so surprised at his sudden death and dug out October Rust. God that album is amazing.

I saw Albert Collins at a club in the San Diego area in the late 80's. What a showman, they don't make guys like him any more. I bellied up to the stage after the show and he shook my hand. I consider myself lucky for the experience.

Wow, that must have been a blast! Albert used something like a 100 foot guitar cord and started playing the show from his dressing room. A great, great showman.
