Lisa Kudrow was a good choice for Mrs. Holmes. After seeing some pics of the REAL Mrs. Holmes - she sort of looked like her.

I tell him, "Why don't you be quiet and we'll find out together?"
I think watching the movie with the commentary make it easier to follow.

Well we really don't know what is going on with Sharon and Dawn right now There hasn't been a post on Dawn's webpage since 1/08 and nothing more about Sharon.

I hope she is alive and well that's all I can say.

Also, I am sure you could still find blood stains from the murder if you used luminol. I remember seeing a show on the disappearance of Hoffa and they pulled up carpeting and luminolled the wood floor of a house that they alleged he was killed in -- now decades after he disappeared -- and blood stains were still there.

They were able to find blood at the Lizzie Borden house not too long ago, so you're right. If they used a luma light, they'd be able to pick up all sorts of blood and it would be chilling indeed!!!!

I just now remembered that the video of the Wonderland murders was on FAD (I can't see vids at work. Asses.) and man--I thought it was simply awesome work, Scott and FilmMaker. I love that kind of stuff. It was simply engrossing. Very, very well done, loved the inter-splicing of yesterday and today, then and now, murder scene and empty, quiet apartment.

I was all about to embed it on my MySpace, but then thought...nobody (except maybe Zombiegirl!) would have any idea what it was or WHY I had it on there.

I still might, though. It ROCKS. Why yes, I'm twisted...but you already knew that!

Thanks for the great vid and hard work. Double thumbs up here!

    Just an FYI

I was bored and went on the Dawn Shiller Site... She posted back in July that her Webmaster died of Cancer. She says that's why the site has been abandoned and that there are new people in charge that will be making changes.

Just wanted to let you all know.

    Question

Last year I watched the movie Wonderland and the dvd extras showed (to my surprise the crime scene video with bodys and all). But the thing that disturbed me and sent chills up my spine was............... A FAN, yes a blue fan that sat in a doorway. I had to rewind and pause on this fan to examine it and it looks exactly like a fan I had bought a few months before at a flea market. The switches were the same, the color that is a light or aquaish blue all the same but a little worse for ware. I only paid $2.00 for the fan. I asked the seller if it worked and he showed me that it did. To me who loves older things I saw the rusty white grills and my favorite shade of blue that was chipping in places, and looked like a half doller size black burn spot on the top as a good renovation project. I did repaint the white grills but not long after I got this fan my luck seemed to get real bad. My cat who was my pride and joy disappeared without a trace, my house went into foreclosure, the dog got cancer (he died this past spring). And the cat who was always all over anything new I would bring in the house seemed to walk far around it.
I try to tell myself it is just coincidence (and you all probably think I am crazy).
But is it possible I could own the fan that was in that house?
Does anyone by chance know where the furnishings of that house went?
Here are some details on the fan ( I tried to look it up and could not find a fan with the name that looked anything like it) It is a light blue or aqua blue square floor fan with three steel blades, white protective grills and white Handel on top, the name is Eskimo, two-speed model#20137. I got it at the GIBRALTAR TRADE CENTER, MT. Clenens MI
I am sure there tons like it. And it probably is not the Wonderland murder house fan yet it still gives me the creeps I wanted to just toss it out but a weird morbid side of me says hang on to it.

Cursed object. It would be really hard to trace something as simple as a fan. But now you got me thinking of things I bought at flea markets. Could all the bad and good be passed on from a object.

i heard it was designed by robert byrd, a popular architect in LA at one time. Byrd also designed the house on ciello drive where the tate murders took place and the house where phil hartman was killed. he also did a really wierd, but cool house up laurel canyon that charles manson used to visit. i guess people should beware of byrd houses.

I collect masks. Bought one at an antique store in Denver--it was tooled leather, in the shape of a lion's face, and quite large and striking. Terrible things happened while I had that mask hanging in my house (for several years)--friends/relatives died, relationship ended, you name it. Everyone I knew hated that mask the instant they saw it. Finally when my partner told me it gave him the creeps and to please take it out of the house, I took it off the wall and checked out the back--scratched in the leather was the artist's name, and then, "HAITI." In the trash it went, things have been much better ever since. Voodoo?

    Sorry, I'm o.t.

There is a book called "The Other Hollywood: The Uncensored Oral History of the Porn Film Industry" which has three chapters regarding the Wonderland party scene and murders. It is quite interesting, since it is told in the words of the cops, quotes from Susan Launius and John Holmes. It also has some stuff from Sharon and Dawn too. I know you can pick it up on Amazon.

Rap Duo Lives in House Now

Some rap duo, called LMFAO (I think), live in the house now. It was on TMZ and the cameraman accompanied them to a party at the house and they were bragging about how it was the same house.

If you look at one of their videos on MySpace, you can tell it's the same house. Just creepy if you ask me.

    Re:Books

I've recently finished both Dawn's book and John Holmes: A Life Measured in Inches by Jennifer Sugar & Jill Nelson. Both are great reads. The second is packed full of info (581 pages) about John's life, drug use, the murders, etc. I didn't see that this book was mentioned, so just throwing it out there for those of you still looking for an interesting book on it.

Also, I looked on Dawn's website and she has posted on the comments under the 2/07 picture of Sharon that she was sorry to report that Sharon's health was almost completely gone and that she was now her legal representative. I don't have the page open now, but I believe she posted it on 8/10 or around then.

I've followed this board for years now, joined a couple of years ago, and just decided to start posting. I felt it was time to join in on the discussions, so a big hello to everyone!

Editing to add the post about Sharon:

    http://www.dawn-schiller.com/2007/02...here/#comments

    August 8, 2010:
"Thank you. I’m humbled. I am Sharon’s legal guardian as she is no longer able to manage her affairs. Her illness is incurable and I just make sure she is comfortable now. Sorry to tell you.
    Dawn"

Hopefully adding the link and quote aren't against forum rules. I suppose I should read those before I start bombarding the board with posts, huh?

Bought and read Dawn's book and have Dawn on my facebook as a friend now as well.

I thought that the book was good, but those who are looking for hot info on Holmes or Wonderland will be disappointed.

Dawn has made it her life goal now to work on "throwaway teens" as she considers herself to have been.

She lives in the Pacific NW and has a yougn daughter (I think about 12 years old) names Jade.

Sharon is indeed slipping away and no longer has a memory from what I've read.

Indeed, Nash still survives. In his 80's, I think about 82 now. Still living in the LA area.
